  1. Could some technically competent person put together a montage of clearly wrong decisions made over the season by this man? (I mean really wrong, not just decisions we didn't like) Documentary evidence would seem to be the only way to show up a lack of competence.

Would it not be illegal to do so given the rights belong to either the broadcasters or the SPFL?

  2. I think bringing in Butcher and Marsella would be excellent , would also keep Teale and Longwell ,

Need to make the appointment soon , so the new manager gets a chance to try and improve the squad during the transfer window .

Also think Butcher might manage to get the defence sorted ,

Marsella is working at Grimsby I think so it's unlikely he'd be up for a return to Scotland.

  3. Terry butcher enjoyed good times in Inverness. It seems he has good contacts and unearthed good talent still playing in Inverness. Much better talent than we have at present much much better. 1 point in 30 at home but hey let's just give the gig to Gary it's cheap and it's easy

Butcher had an excellent scout in Steve Marsella. He found the players. Not Terry.

Although the players were probably more likely to play in the wilderness that is the highlands because of the lure of working under the former England international captain

  4. We made poor decisions in the summer transfer wise and are now paying the price - we have no recognised forward line and Samson didn't even have a save to make yesterday. Yes referee was pish poor but I'm afraid we were as well and yet again a mediocre side leaves with 3 points ........ granted this time with more than a little help from that arsehole Collum

Samson did have one save to make aside from the penalty which he fluffed. Unfortunately it was from a defender's boot!

I will still hold fire in condemning all our new forwards as, in Ball's case, it was hard to play central in Craig's side. Maybe if he knew the ball was likely to arrive in the box he would be more inclined to stay there.

  5. To the "supporter " in W1 who thought he was cool shouting at Calum Ball shortly after the player came on "Ball yer a Coo"... twice... audibly heard in the family stand so almost certainly heard by the player...

Can I respectfully suggest you f**k off and take your abuse elsewhere as our team will be all the better without it.

Seriously. WTF is that supposed to achieve?

    Wanker.

I thought it was Magennis that was getting the abuse but even so, same sentiment. Saints don't need that sort of idiot

  6. I said before I thought we were fecked when I knew it was "double dick" refereeing this game. He has been consistently garbage and I felt it was due to be against us this time.

Given that, it was a terrible game in which we took a good twenty minutes to warm up. After that we pepped up and could, no, should have taken the lead when Kenny put Kelly in for what should have been the opener.

I need to see it on telly but, for me, NONE of the big decisions Collum made were correct.

Teale should feel very aggrieved that his chance of management could hang in the balance due to to rotten refs.

  7. Agreed. It is vital that we look to do some business next month. Teale must have a good idea as to what is required, so lets get behind his efforts to bolster the squad.

He definitely knows. He is quoted as saying Striker, midfielder and CENTRAL DEFENDER.

When was the last time it was admitted we needed one of them CH's?

  8. Most clubs with decent youth academies never get to 7 youngsters in their first team at the same time because some are so good they get sold...

Over a decade in charge and Longwell has brought in the square root of f**k all in transfer fees.

    Its been an unmitigated disaster.

Behave yourself and grow up Lenny.

It's not David's job to sell the players. Only to bring them through. The rest is up to those who control the purse strings and those who control their further development..

  9. It wasn't Broonie, though he might have had the same bet on.

80-1 for 3-0 - even if it had been a £1 stake that would have been £81 back (minus the gambling tax back then - was it 10%?) at a time when a pint was probably around the £ mark.

The full money would be handed over if the tax was paid on the original bet. ie. £1.10 or, I think it was 9% so £1.09

  10. If Teale does get the job I would imagine he would bring in an experienced assistant and allow David Longwell to go back to his day job. This could work out well as this person could be someone with 'contacts' in the game whilst at the same time it shows the youths that the opportunity to go to the first team will happen if they perform in the development league.

However if it's an appointment until the end of the season I can see it as being the status quo.

Unless the main reason for the upturn in attitude and endeavour IS Longwell.

  11. Given that the lad has only played a couple of games and this was his first goal for Saints, I hope the coaching staff have got him shining the boots. His head cannot be allowed to end up in the clouds over this.

It's actually not good for Saints that he is getting so much attention as agents are, by nature, money hunters and will not let the lad sign an extensive contract if he feels he can get the player, therefore themselves, a hefty signing on fee.

  12. Hibs have today announced they will open up 51% of the shareholding for fans to purchase putting them in contril of their club.

We have the vehicle (Smisa) in place with the Supporters Trust set up to channel fans investment in our club. All we need is the selling consortium to see SENSE! And enable the people who have always (like their good-selves) had the best interests of the club at heart (The Fans), to take control in an orderly and timely process.

They will get paid for 51% of the shares, the fans, sorry shareholders will have to organise their representation, choosing those within THEIR ranks with the necessary skill set to take on the baton, whilst if the selling consortium so wish retaining the biggest individual/group shareholding outside of the 50+1% owned by the fans.

We would see a new and irresistible energy in how the club is run, and on what opportunities are developed to better the club at the heart of the community .

They could put the wheels in motion, and trust the fans, as we indeed did and have trusted them over the years to do the right thing at every turn by our club. Just 'Believe' selling consortium, and the right people will come forward to take up the mantle rather than the sausage roll budget for their mates.

Is the Hibs model not selling NEW shares therefore diluting the value and percentage of the current shares? I don't see tat being acceptable to our board members anymore than it was for the newcos

  13. Kenny McDowell was at Asda GOVAN yesterday when he saw an old lady struggling with her shopping. He walked up to her and said, "Can you manage sweetheart?", to which she replied, "You got yourself into this mess, don't expect me to get you out of it!"
