Fair do's. The Dons have actual real fans who have made a fortune and are willing to spunk it on the club they are emotionally tied to. Falkirk had a director who, with his personal shoe shop chain money constructed a third stand for purely aesthetic reasons.
Those two lottery winners from Largs 'invested' in Partick Thistle's youth set up. It's ideally what we need. Turns out Bill Gates or Dickie Pickle was a secret lifelong Buddie with an Aber's Gonnae Get Ye tattoo on their left buttock.
The problem the Dons might have is that if they become debt free, some fans might be looking for them to spend, spend, spend, to take on ra' Sellik....merely kick starting the debt 'chase the dream' process again.
Doubt that will happen. With Scroogey Stewart in charge they might get a new kettle and toaster. And they'll probably be on Tic if that makes the fans happy!.

You have all missed the worst one of all. Gentlemen I give you f**king Murdo McCloud. What an absolute cock womble. It's Celtic this and Celtic that wi him.
Didn't he predict an easy victory for the hoops on 24/03/2010?

Think he has health problems (ahem)
Should that be "hic"

What was the score on the day ?
0-0 if I remember correctly.
Don't know the scorers!

Seems the English FA want Stewart Regan for a top job. Hurry up, Stewart. Don't let the door hit your a*se on the way out.

We can only hope he takes an assistant in the form of Doncaster!
Dear Santa............

According to the BBC News "... McCoist will also see his salary increase back to £750,000 a year."
Not bad for putting in your notice.
the man may be abysmal as a football manager but he is no fool. Or at least his agent wasn't!
While bleating to the blue sheep about "not walking away" and backing every incarnation of saviour for his new club he has never suffered financially throughout.
It was widely reported that, even when taking his "paycut", he had a clause put in the agreement that, if for any reason he was binned, he would revert to his original salary.
IF he has such an affinity with newco then perhaps he should walk away with nowt. Watch this space........... But, for gawds sake, don't hold your breath!

You say shitfest, and I say shitefest. Shitfest, shitefest, shitfest, shitefest, let's call the whole thing off...
A draw and one point apiece then?

Official attendance today given as 44,827. Looked at least half empty/full on stream which would suggest about 30K.
Anyone who was there give a realistic estimate?
Celtic count their season ticket holders whether they turn up or not.

The SNP have just had some great news in their quest for total control of Scotland.
Scottish Labour have introduced Murphy's law. (If it can go more wrong, we will go more right!)
-
No surprise.
Why would they elect a grass roots labour person when they can elect a Blairite?
They are attempting to climb out of an electorial pit with a limp indian rope.
In effect. No ladder. Only a snake

What does that bit just before 'Their all mad a tell ye!' mean?
If I need to explain,.......
You must be mad!

Coisty's pulled a flanker , with him being on a rolling contract he can give them a years notice and if they want to get shot of him early they would need to make him an offer to leave instead of just sacking him.
I refer the honourable? gentleman? to the answer I gave earlier.
Reading between the lines this is just another "Allycon".
He has a one year rolling contract which, if allowed to take its natural course, will cost his new lower salary.
If however, after handing in his resignation, the board decide to tell him to go now rather than working his notice, ie. ONE YEAR, the clause he had installed in his salary reduction would mean he gets his original, greater amount.
A case of keep me with the salary or get rid of me at the cost of a sallyary, so to speak.
McCoist doing what McCoist does best. Hide his inadequacies under a blanket of snow.

We are beginning to look like the wee semi down the street , that was a nice wee place , but was overpriced when it went on the market , consequently it has stuck on the market too long , potential buyers think there is something wrong , and its now Sarah Beeny time , which means tidying up all the bits that are letting it down , and the putting it back on the market at a realistic price.
I had to google that to see who the hell she was.
It's a sad day when you can't even go to the cinema for entertainment!

Well. I must say. I've had worse times watching Friday night comedy!
Seriously QOtS were very easy on the eye and deserved their victory. Fowler for Greenhill Road anyone?
It appears that's ok to punt anyone whose teams beat The tribute act these days. There could be 11 names in the frame at this rate though.

Is Terry Butcher's announcement of pulling out the running at Motherwell making more sense, now?
Not unless Sally told him his plans.

The biggest town in Scotland doesn't even have a professional football team.
The largest town, by piopulation, is still Paisley,.... JUST.
In fact it's the 5th biggest locale in Scotland by the latest estimates availlable.
Even more surprising to me is that Hamilton are around the eigth.
1 Glasgow 591,620 City Glasgow City
2 Edinburgh 464,990 City City of Edinburgh
3 Aberdeen 196,670 City Aberdeen City
4 Dundee 147,710 City Dundee City
5 Paisley 76,220 Town] Renfrewshire
6 East Kilbride 74,740 Town South Lanarkshire

I assumed it would be since it's Sunday afternoon but had a look at sky sports and bt and neither are showing it
It's on the Sunday due to Celtic's Euro commitments. Very seldom will you see a live game from the East End Dump! It's always been the case Celtic's away games were the live ones. (We wouldn't want to affect their gate receipts now, would we?
When there used to be a REAL club called Rangers and they played in the top league the only home games you saw were between the terrible twins.
-
Stevie Aitken would fit the bill.
Not sure. There's a big gap between also rans in the third tier and the top league. Again. IF we weren't in such a precarious position he might have been worth a punt of a years contract but I think, (stealing from a popular sci fi show), we need some one else. We need some thing else.
-
They would be as well handing their notice in now, FFS Even our worst manager got more than one shot at it.
Aye.
And that one chance against the league leaders and champions who have had the luxury of resting players and giving others neccessary game time midweek while still in celebratory mode at progressing in a major competition.
Yep. If Teale and Longwell don't gub this lot, on their plot, hangemhigh, say I!

As a kid would say, "ARE WE THERE YET?...... ARE WE THERE YET?......ARE WE THERE YET?"

Wonder how we'll line up for this one. I'd like to see Goodwin and Ozzy in the middle together, and Baird keep his place. Don't think Thommo should start this one. Ball looked a bit better when he came on against the fakes, so I'd give him another run out. Just stifle the game and try and nick something.
Not as a lone striker. I feel a little sorry for Ball as he has been hung out to dry on occasions. Still think he needs to lose a bit of weight. If we play the 4-2-3-1 I'd start with Caldwell. Clean slate for every striker AFAIC.
