Where am i on the list?
You're on the naughty list therefore you'll be drafted into the first team squad for ICT!
-
Posted on the feeshal' forum that I am actually tempted to stick a fiver on us to win tomorrow - 0-1, penalty in 85 mins. It would just be so typical St Mirren. We're at the stage where you really think one more defeat could see a manager bagged.... so we'll pull one out the hat and he hangs on, for a bit anyway.
Five spot on it... ICT 0 St Mirren 1. Penalty kick, 85th minute*....
*Maybees.
Say hello to Shull when you get there Poz!

New interview with Goodwin here. Seems to know the score.
He must have known the score BEFORE his latest debacle.
Is it something to do with the air or training at Saint Mirren that we end up with repeat offenders.
We dodged a bullet with the one we let go.

I'm not defending TC here, as I have zero knowledge about the inner workings of SMFC, sadly.
But when someone refers to a place as no longer being 'a great place to work', it implies to me they previously got away with murder and don't any more. Maybe I'm cynical.
Or....
They were previously treated with respect but now.......

No one's mentioned drilling into the dyke ......
Leave her out of this!

With a few exceptions there is little chance of making money out of a football club, with freedom of contract limiting the chances to make money from young players is limited, in Scotland only Falkirk & Dundee Utd. have been able to sell a player a season from their youth set-up.
For a club of our size what is being sold isn't really the bricks & mortar of the stadium but the passion of the support us - I find it hard to believe that potential abuse on twitter is the real reason for any prospective buyer pulling out. If it was then s/he wouldn't last long and presumably we'd be up for sale within six months.
As Doris Day said in the verse that was omitted from Que Sera Sera - GIRFUY!
Unless the owners are savvy enough to employ people who see potential and tie those lads up quickly and with longevity in their contracts.
It obviously is possible as some clubs, ala Hamilton and Dundee Utd do it with regularity.

We dinnae dae fond farewells for decent Saints managers.
Alex Ferguson
Jim Clunie
Alex Smith
Tom Hendrie
Danny Lennon.
Why not Gus MacPherson?????
At least the first year was enjoyable with another non bursting bubble.

You sure he has forgiven us?
Doubt it.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's laughing in the streets of Raith right now!

pod. The problem is we season ticket holders have paid for our product in advance. In my case x 3. However when you support s team its not about the "product" its a bug and you support your club forever and this like us on the forum will no doubt ccntinue to do.Whether Tommy goes now he will certainly be away in 18months time. Quite frankly with the dross we have been watching this season perhaps a season or two in the championship might be no bad thing and would give us the opportunity to rebuild
The big question there though is,
"Is TC's level as high as the championship or are we in danger of freefalling through the second trapdoor?"

It doesn't matter where the figure came from.
IF correct then the Board, (owners) are wholly to blame for the loss.
If you don't listen to the customers who have, after all, gave plenty of notice re their disgruntlement, then you are bound to reap what you sow.
It's not the fans who caused the loss any more than a customer causes a shop to make a loss when the shop sells shoddy goods not fit for purpose.
Gone are the days of blindly following a team no matter how little the Board show signs that the fans are important.
If money is the top, middle and bottom line then it is the only weapon the fans have.

The fact that they do it knowing that BoD will not reply makes it a bit unfair. Read all the post on here over the years about various meetings that the were going to attend and give off, from ones going to cic meeting's and even the latest one Fans Council AGM guess what? They have never turn up.... if so bothered by them call them and ask to speak to them..... they will and dont hide behind a keyboard.
In fairness Alan. A lot of us are praying for a reply from the board on matters that, on the face of it, are dragging the club into an abyss that may be unrecoverable from. Surely, given the strength of commitment from many of us through buying STs year on year and merchandise, which, quite often recently, we've had to beg the club to manufacture so we could use hard earned cash to purchase gives us some rights to question the direction the BoDs are sending us.
Why is it unreasonable, in this age of instant, on line media, to ask that one of them takes the time to outline why they think it such a good idea to continue with a failed process that simply took away the organ grinder and replaced him with the monkey to save a little cash today at the cost of tomorrow?
Especially when it's looked recently like that may backfire and the club may regress even quicker.

Do you want a loan of my rose tinted glasses.
Naw. My black 'n white ones are fine thanks!

Shocking news.I admit to knowing less than FA about cricket but this is a tragic turn of events. My heart goes out to his friend Sean Abbot who bowled the ball to him. He must be devastated too.
R.I.P. Phillip Hughes.
25 years old is far to young.

The devolving of tax levels is a complete red herring.
As part of a UK it will be totally impracticle to raise tax/threshold levels without being allowed to offset the negatives with positive through other means such as business rates and airport taxes et al which impacts on all Scottish society.
Giving absolute control of this one aspect is almost no different from the ability the parliament has at the moment. ie. raising or lowering tax by 3p.
It really will be a smokescreen.

To be fair, I don't think he could say anything else whether it's true or not!!
Thommo is probably entering his last six months as a player so he could have made it plain he was as pissed off as the rest of us without actually saying so. As a supporter he surely can't be happy with the developements at his chosen club.
I can only assume he actually does think he's superman and all will be well when he dons the cape and flies to the rescue.
Me?
I don't see it!

Fixed it for the nitpickers
Pedants can only react correctly when errors occur.

I can't speak for "most people" then. My wife, grandson and I ALWAYS buy our tickets to reserve our ST seats as do a few of the guys I know who have Season tickets. Best you revise that by -3 or more.
-
If I can get a couple of Comps, I will attend the cup tie on Saturday.
SEASON TICKETS SHOULD BE VALID
Says it all Shull.
As I said. Your on line support seems to be usurped by your refusal to support financially.
Not that I blame you as £18.00 is a lot to pay for depression.
Who knows. If you were to actually pay for the embarrassment your support for the incumbents might just wain.
-
I'll no get in.
I would try insert my Smartcard in the doodah.
And Computer wid say ...............
NO VALID !!!
The board will be as interested in your on site support as they are in the views of those with less fav ourable viewpoints.
If you want to support and defend a useless management team the least you can do is pay for the privelige instead of defending an horrendous appointment with excuses about past achievements.
-
A mate text yesterday saying we had allegedly only sold 78 tickets. This can't be right. Can it?
I can only pray there is a modicum of truth in this as I feel the lack of feet treading the steps is the only thing this BoD will listen for and will react to. IF even that stirs them.
-
I said it before. IF the board had any intention of throwing money at TC to rid us of him they would have done it at the start of the international break. We need to let them know we aren't standing for it by using our feet, if you pardon the pun. A boycott for the ICT game, if successful, would go a long way to letting them know their finances could be hit harder by keeping the old oaf.

Is there anyway of getting it on DVD
DVDvideosoft has some excellent free software to allow downloading from youtube
From there you can transfer to DVD yourself.
-
Thought that was your prediction for our next home crowd!!
I would think that to be a tad optimistic given ICT never bring that amount!

I can't speak for Bluto but, IFO will be happy to keep TC there IF our fortunes change.
I am, however, not expecting any change of said fortune so it will be, IMO, a moot point.
I would love to be wrong mind.
