  1. The Sun is a quite despicable excuse for a news paper and is one publication that I would never waste a penny on.

The fact that an editor has given the green light to that disgraceful headline and then the tweet before taking it down with no apology, says it all for me.  How must Billy and the poor young girls family be feeling after seeing this.

Aitken is still part-time for a reason. He's got a decent paid full-time salary at Rolls Royce topped up by what id imagine being a half decent salary at Dumbarton.

Aitken has missed out on a couple of full time appointments, and is apperently willing to give up his full time employment if the right job comes along. He's worked wonders with two part time outfits and probably deserves a shot at a full time appointment.

surely this was a chance to get Duffy off his arse, money for nothing,id Imagine he could be freed in January, something not right in this one!!!!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Duffy and the boy Hilson gone in January.

Duffy hasn't featured other than a couple of mins for the first team, and Hilson has spent most of his time on the treatment table, a shame because he looked decent pre season.

    Are we big game bottlers?

big away crowds ar Dunfermline, Falkirk and now Morton home and away, but the team seem unable to nail down a win. Apart from the ridiculous decision booking Reilly we really only had ourselves to blame for snatching a draw from the jaws of Victory.

said it before, and surely its obvious to most now? Ross Stewart cant hold up his hand, never mind the ball! His job is to be a complete handfull at set pieces, and to hold it up and bring others into play. On saturday almost without fail everytime the ball was played to him hevwas outmuscled/manouvered and the ball came straight back down the park again. Please also excuse me, i may be wrong but i can't remember him winning a header on Saturday

surely now Ross can see this isnt his game, and that he should be playing Sutton if he wants to boss the opposition defence and see knock downs to bring others in to the game

Last week's match at Falkirk gave us all the best indications to  why Sutton doesn't get a regular outing. He contribution was nil in the game.

I like the big man and always have done, but he's going to be a squad player who will from time to time play his part and score the odd goal like he did at Dumbarton.

Ross Stewart is a young guy playing at his first full time club and he's a working progress, yes he's raw but every opposition fan I've spoken to say he's so awkward to play against and that he offers us something different to our forward line.

I like him and I reckon he's a good option to have coming off the bench at present, he'll progress in my opinion, but that's what it's all about. We all see it different.

  5. Time will tell if McInnes takes the hot seat at greyskull but he must be thinking about what it means for his managerial career if it all goes Pete Tong. He got his fingers burned at Bristol City and he's probably mindful of not jumping into a potentially disastrous big club situation that could leave his reputation in management damaged.

My gut feeling is he'll stay put at the dons but if he does go, then they'll go for a more experienced man than Jack.

2-2 , I think Quitongo will continue to give us problems.

However ,if you believe in omens , in exactly the same week in 76 we beat them 5-1, following a 0-0 draw the previous week ! ^_^

Quitongo will continue to give us problems if he takes another dive and the inept official falls for it.

Fortunately it won't be Collum who gives the diving rat another opportunity to cheat for a spot kick.

Im confident that we will be well up for revenge and that we will be on the front foot from the off.

3 points is a must if we want to continue the momentum.

I like the sports section on a Saturday you have a two page fixed odds section and like today a McGinn interview. Also a section on team sheets injuries and so on if true.  You dont get the PDE over here for Saints up dates.

Couldn't resist it Ian, The PDE is actually owned by the Daily Record these days is it not ? :P

  8. The game on sat at Falkirk is going to be crucial given the run of games we have coming up.

We would all love the 3 points and another week at the top of the league going into the Renfrewshire Derby next week.

Its vital we we don't lose and hopefully keep the momentum going. We seem to have found a way to win games while not performing at our best, long may this trend continue.  Jack and James have installed a belief in our squad thats infectious and so good to feel part of and it's brilliant to see the interaction with the fans and players with each passing game.

  9. Filling in the corners of all 4 stands would make a huge difference to the look on the inside of the stadium, and help with solving the problem of swirling winds during the bad weather. I do agree with Elvis that more could be done to make the outside of the main stand more aesthetically pleasing.

Well done to SMISA for the work already carried out as it has made a difference, feels more like home these days, although nothing will ever feel the same as the old girl love st.

  10. Tokely always seemed to love playing up to the panto Villain whenever playing against saints after the Chris Kerr incident.

He was and still is an utter cock of a man who at no time ever took the time to show  any remorse or some kind of an apology for basically putting  an end to a very promising young players career.

Most decent professional players would have shown some humility towards a young player who was on the end of such a despicable act of thuggery.

Tokely was an arrogant tosser. f**k him.

St. Mirren board told Dunfermline board through the week that around 500-600 fans would be travelling so Dunfermline prepared for that number of travelling fans and so did Stephen's for catering. The fact that more than double that amount turned up it can hardly be blamed on Dunfermline for their organisation, St. Mirren shot their own fans in the foot but gravely underestimating their level of support...

I'm sorry but your club can have absolutely no excuse for the utter shambles that happened last sat.

The ground can easily cope with 1400 away fans, and for them to say that they did not anticipate that many away  fans is a feeble excuse.

We were always going to take upwards of 1000 fans to such an important top of the table game.

In any other business they wouldn't treat customers with such contempt

    Dunfermline are a joke outfit.

  12. I grew up in Glenburn not far from Raymie and can remember my brother Gerry playing football in our younger days with Raymie. Met him at the tail end of last season and we spoke about all things St Mirren and his charity bike runs. A selfless wee gentleman who was a credit to himself and his family. Massive buddie and will be very sadly missed by all who had the privelage of knowing him. RIP wee man I'll be paying my tribute to you on sat.

I believe the Club gave up their interest in the player , I don't think we were outbid on this one. .

It would appear that JR must have trust in Reilly Sutton and Duffy to score goals, or that the club have reached the budget limit and chose not to pay a fee for the player.
