  1. I suggested this on Twitter a few days ago.

Contact all the local independent businesses, offer them the £12 P/M package to sign up, in return their business logo, industry and telephone number is put on to a board under the stands.

I'd happily put my shop down alongside my personal mandate, and I'm sure many others would. Between 3-5k advertising every second week for £12 P/M... No brainer IMO.

    Would smash the 1000.

  2. I will likely vote the same way as my kids since they will likely have a lot longer left on this planet than me. If 1 say in and 1 say out I will just get the wife to make my mind up, as usual.

Well Dad, I think I'm voting out.

I voted to yes to independence and used Norway as an example of what a small independent country can achieve. I don't think we can use them as an example, when they aren't in the EU. Don't forget the EU also basically told us to get stuffed during the independence campaign. There is also the way they treated countries like Greece.

There are things I do like in the EU such as free movement, but overall the EU is undemocratic and is only going to get worse whilst they create their United States of Europe.

I'll be happy to leave and negotiate a Trade agreement.

  3. I supported the previous Fan Ownership attempt, but this time I've been thinking more carefully about it, and I've changed my mind quite a few times.

First of all, as supporters, how much money are we expected to spend a month following our team, before you even buy a pint? It just seems that the fans are having to foot the bill for everything these days whilst the match day experience and quality of football seems to get worse every season.

I have concerns about if we have a big enough fan base to pull it off and sustain the memberships of 1000+. Whilst I have no doubts we'll be able to pay off the loan, I have concerns about being able to sustain the memberships in order to buy the shares from Gordon Scott later on. If we don't achieve that, then all we have done is assist Gordon Scott in buying the club for 600k, and paid a hefty price to have one seat on the board.

However, I actually really like Gordon Scott and I think he could do a lot for the club. So whilst there is a risk in that we might not achieve the overall goal of fan ownership, if we can help get the current BoD out and Gordon in with the potential of fan ownership in the future then I'm comfortable having one pint less a week. So I'm going to sign up just now!

The only thing is I'm dissapointed there's not any packages for businesses, which the previous ownership bid had. I own a Salon not far from the stadium, colour scheme is black white and red, we do Gents Cuts for £5, and would have loved to have involved the business with my football club in some way.

  4. I reckon I'll be signing up for this.

Any idea how many we need to sign up for the £12 a month?

Can it be confirmed as to what percentage of shares we are buying and how much are being paid for them?

Like I said, reckon I'll be signing up but not if SG & Co are ripping the piss with the value, considering their handiwork over the past few years have undoubtedly reduced the value of the club.

  5. It's nothing like that at all. No St Mirren fan "appointment" is being moved or cancelled. They will still see the game at the same time, with arguably a better view. It's the equivalent of you moving a client to a different part of your shop and giving them exactly the same service at exactly the same time while fitting more clients in.

Why would I want to move a loyal customer elsewhere? It's all about keeping your existing custom happy, I've not seen one South Stand person comment that they are happy about moving.

  6. I really don't get people who are saying it's good business.

I've got a shop, and the first rule is look after the people putting the money in the till. That would be like me cancelling or moving a clients appointment because another client spending more money wants in at the same time, even though the client spending more money is unlikely to visit again for a few years.

It's business suicide - all it takes is 50 or so people not to renew their season tickets for two season and there's your 30k.

  7. Could somebody Copy & Paste from Official Site please.

Then the whole Forum can have a laugh.

    Lol

As we head towards the third anniversary of St Mirren’s League Cup win, we are looking to celebrate ‘St Mirren’s Day’ when Queen of the South are the visitors to the Paisley 2021 Stadium on Saturday 12th March.

We want to get as many Buddies into the stadium as we can for the day and we are looking to fill the North Stand up with St Mirren fans as the Queen of the South fans will be allocated sections W6 and W7 in the West Stand.

So to try and encourage fans along we are offering a deal for Season Ticket holders to ‘Bring a Buddie’.

Season Ticket holders will be able to purchase 2 adult tickets at the cost of £5 per ticket – these tickets will be for the North Stand only.

Please note that the Season Ticket holder will still be required to sit in their own seat and if they wish to take up the offer they must contact the St Mirren Ticket Office by no later than Friday, 11th March 2016.

So come on down to the Paisley 2021 Stadium on 12th March to back Alex Rae’s side against the Doonhamers and to celebrate ‘St Mirren’s Day’!
