We currently have 1325 paying members for buy the buddies.  By my calculations of £10 a month going to the £1 million buy out if we assume everyone is on £12 a month and no one took the £2,500 packages (which of course isn't true I believe 14% of people are on the £25 package and the £2,500 packages got sold out.  I'm just looking at minimum circumstance) the loan would be paid off in just under six years and three months.  Taking into account the bigger packages looking at it being easily paid off in under six years.

My point is would current paying members be willing to continue their commitment for the full ten years even after the loan is paid off.  Instead of £2 a month going into a discretionary fund we would have £12/25 X 1300 odd.  Would be a great added bonus for the club to grow.  For myself personally I'd be happy to leave it open ended beyond the 10 years.

Echo what other people have said as well in regards to income, would be good to get a few extra fans down on a Saturday.  If we get an extra 200/300 a week that's easily a player on the books which is badly needed sooner than later.  Hope everyone is encouraging their absent buddies down for a massive game Saturday. 2. Would say a lot of the punting will have to happen in summer but for me

    1.       Jamie Langfield - Punt (wage thief)

    2.       Jason Naismith - Punt (wage thief)

    3.       Gary Irvine - Would like to see him move to right back again before deciding

    4.       Andy Webster - Punt (wage thief)

    5.       Ben Gordon - Would give him time before deciding

    6.       Gary Mackenzie - Likely punt with his injuries but will see if he gets a run

    7.       David Clarkson - Punt (wage thief)

    8.       Rocco Quinn - Same situation with injuries

    9.       John Sutton - Keep

    10.   Stephen Mallan - Punt

    11.   Callum Gallacher - Punt

    12.   Scott Gallagher - Punt

    13.   Kyle Hutton - Punt (as high as bloody possible)

    14.   Jack Baird - Punt (not developed enough, had a couple good games recently but overall extremely poor)

    15.   Tom Walsh - Probably punt have to imagine better loan signings

    16.   Lewis Morgan - Keep (although very disappointed at how much he's fallen away)1

    19.   Ryan Hardie - Punt

    20.   Lawrence Shankland - Punt

  3. last straw for me, Rae has to go.  Absolute shambolic decision, between them Webster and Baird have probably shipped double figures worth of avoidable goals this season.  Guy hasn't had a chance at all and could potentially help a great deal with our defensive problems.  This will come back to bite us if we lose tomorrow and fans vote with their feet.  get him out of our club now and whoever sanctioned the loan as well should have their head examined.  Beyond ridiculous decision.

  4. Anyone heard about the other injuries, Gallagher and Morgan? Think that's it for the injury list right now.  Imagine Gordon and McKenzie will be playing soon enough if they don't relapse.  Also apparently youngster Nathan Flanagan was out with a knock but on his way back now, very impressed with him when he came on for the under 20s during the week.

  5. Would not in a million years be loaning Gordon or McKenzie out, Baird has to be dropped as soon as either of them are fit and I'm not impressed with Webster either.  I never remember a captain for us being that quiet.  Defense don't talk to each other, no communication with the keeper of midfield either it's terrible.  Could hear a pin drop on that pitch.

Any updates on the injury list as below?

    • When's Quinn back?
    • How long will Callum Gallagher be out for?
    • Gordon on the bench how close is he to playing?
    • McKenzie got a date for how long he'll be out for?
    • Any chance we could get Thomo down to training one day this week to spear Baird?

Not stupid at all, error on our part. It should read £8,000 per quarter. Will update website post to reflect.

No worries, I thought I was going mad haha.  Still fantastic to be so much over the target

I think we need to remember he missed 8 months of last season and will take time to get back to his peak physical condition.

Can see the point about giving Naismith time but how many players get a long injury then are never the same? If anything that's more of a concern because we don't have such good cover for right and left backs.  At least we have another two center backs to come in but we'd have to play someone out of position if Naismith doesn't improve.  Time will tell I guess hopefully he comes good.

Mackenzie disappeared from the squad again today after being on the bench on Tuesday. Hasn't played in any of the League Cup games nor the friendly at Stenny.

Presumed he would be Webster's partner this season but there's obviously an issue there at the moment. Being wrapped in cotton wool?

I hope so, I think Baird has been poor.  fair enough scored the goal against Ayr but his positioning and distribution isn't great, doesn't look comfortable on the ball (can't get rid of it quick enough) and slow at keeping the line.  If Mackenzie has been carrying a knock I hope it's clear soon and he can get a run out.  Wonder how fit Ben Gordon is, surprised he hasn't had a run out either.

  9. Not sure if we've had a thread posted like this before or if it's something that will be useful but thought would be a shout if anyone had any insider information on the injured players. To start with

Rocco Quinn - Scan expected after coming off against Livingston today (Calf injury)

Gary MacKenzie - Injured for today's game apparently but I've not heard any further details,

Anymore for anymore or any updates on the above two, fill your boots.
