    Can someone help me out Scott Walker scored a wonder goal from his own half I believe in the first division winning season. I can't find it on YouTube does anyone have a link? I can't really be bothered going through the bubble didnae burst to find it. Cheers.

    Too right bazil, and I'm the same, but it's a whole new ballgame in South America, I just watched an interview on sky sports news where the Uruguayan correspondent was asked about Dummett, and he said yes of course, all of Uruguay knows about paul Dummett.. and lets face it.. it only takes one! And as I said previously, I hope that I'm wrong,

    Absolutely crazy isn't it! No way to know it was actually that tackle as well.

    Well done, I think you win the award for most clever post of the day!

    I must admit if tweeting and bookfacing existed when a young lad by the name of Christopher Kerr sustained his injury I may have found myelf typing something similiar (but not to Paul Dummett obviously).

    Rossk Tokely's tackle was a lot worse and Chris Kerr's injury a lot more serious. Still don't see myself sending him death threats, same as other saints fans Tokely will always be a complete d**k but sending death threats is something else completely.

    Haha maybe just for a bit if banter. I've never been type of person in here to make up stories or listen to them for that matter. It's true but I still believe it makes more sense for him to stay with saints, time will tell. I don't know anymore than that.

    I don't think he made any secret of his desire to play in England next season, can't really blame him either.

    Ye suppose would still think he would be in the same boat as Mclean, McGregor, Mcgowan as in St Mirren have offered a contract but he's decided to decline it. The way the article is worded its as if we haven't made any attempt at signing him on a contract. Would ideally want a bit more info, think Adam Campbell would have been good back on loan next season as well from the little we seen of him but it looks like that bridge is burned from having him sit on the bench for best past of 4 months.

    I think we will hear more today about who's staying and who's going. It should an interesting couple of months...

    Its dragging on a good bit. Surely they can release who has and who hasn't been offered a new contract? Maybe with the news about DVZ it means all other out of contract players have been made an offer?

    Thus far, it has pretty much consisted of players released by, or who have left other SPFL clubs, so hardly pie in the sky stuff - Vernon, Carey, McCourt, McFadden etc. Maybe not terribly likely, but pretty harmless for all that, no?

    Aye but we all know who's getting released someone saying 'James McFaddens away would we sign him?' Isn't a ground breaking post, its not a rumour St Mirren are interested in him, no one is sitting thinking 'You know I never thought about that wow James McFadden.' Clues in the name The Rumour Mill. If someone hears a rumour that McFadden or Carey came to St Mirren park over the weekend I'd post that, that at least gives food for thought. The thread isn't 'Who's just been released by an SPFL club for people that are to lazy to look at Sky Sports News and do we think he'd be a good player for St Mirren thread' Maybe we should start that up?

    I think it does need to be calmed down a bit. A lot of players we may like to see in Black and white but it would help if people only posted links to players with a bit of substance. Otherwise it gets a bit pointless.... Carles Puyol is a free agent you think he'd fancy it if we gave him free passes to Furys on a Saturday night?

    If Carey came in I wouldn't want to see him at left back, he's played well at Ross County because i think he's been more conformable in a midfield role. Was always better going forward than defending and his left peg scored a few important goals for us going forward. Would welcome him back if his fitness is sorted.

    Have we got any news on who's staying and going before we think about new recruits? Not seeing a lot of conversation about contract offers or players being told they can leave. Does anyone know (Bar Kenny which I've seen) who has been offered a contract? Has DVZ been told he has a future at the club or not? Also lay of Cheesy, he can be absolutely solid at the back just sometimes his clearances are a bit suspect but nothing he can't work on as a player, he 100% has a future at the club.

    Yeah I can understand your reasoning but if I was Steven Thompson, I'd personally just focus on scoring goals and not put myself in a position where folk could give me abuse for the standard of coaching etc.

    I suppose that makes sense. I think Teale was a natural choice, a bit more surprised about Goodwin but hopefully it works out. Lets hope we start to get some contract decisions over the next week or so.
