  1. One of my hero's was Iain Munro,an absolute fantastic player (STOP...dont even bother talking about his managerial career)....so shut the f**k up...anyway...i loved watching Munro as a left back but more so as a left winger (a gazzillion times better than Carey @ JJ )

His 2 goals against the shellic were amazing and was an amazing day, taunting Latchford to come out..one on one..and then blasting the ball into the top corner...BRILLIANT !!

In those days, and we ALL have great memories and favs, were we better as a team, technically better?

Or were we just better to watch?

Thinking back....OUR/SCOTTISH football hasn't really progressed much..if at all...

there is a lot of reasons for the decline.....rules and non touch football(which its getting more and more like that)

Where am i going with this?....managers in this era pretty much played in the day when you could "tackle/hack/kick the shit out of the opposition )

We are playing china doll football and it aint any better than what it was... FACT!!!!!!

  2. Hmmm.

On the BBC tonight Jim Spence talked of "Rangers, the old club that died". I guess he's also wrong?

(A lot of bluenoses ARE going apopleptic about it, as I type)

THE Rangers FC is the new Club and they play at Ibrox Park courtesy of the holding company (Rangers International FC ) owned by people such as Green and Ahmad. These non-rangers men have separated the team from any assets it may have had. How sad for the fans, but they don't yet see it, it seems.

Once again, the publishing of accounts has not materialised on the due date... Just as happened under the aegis of that lovely billionaire, Mr Whyte. And we know how his tenure led to the death of the old club...

It would be an amazingly coincidental fact if THIS current version of The Rangers goes the same way as the dead club.

Of course, none of the above facts can be seen through blue-tinted spex...

Bluto what i want to know is this,

IF the newco go into admin....will they be deducted 10pts as a newco or 25pts for going into admin for the second time as the old rankgers (as they keep saying that they are)

so will history be a mystery or will the governing body be ......................

i think you know what i mean

  3. Even if we do go down this season....

Instead of moaning about the manager after only 4/5 games...

why not just enjoy where we are right now and take our medicine when/if it arrives

enjoy your saturday and make of it as you will, even a loss brings debates in the pub afterwards

I'm a ST.MIRREN fan and been so all my life, seen it all ( ups and many many downs)

    but i'm still a ST.MIRREN fan

  4. i agree we have had a poor start and are looking in poor form at this moment in time

but so are Killie, hibs, motherwell and hearts all of which were expected year on year to do well

im glad im a saints fan rather than the above....add partick (new boy honeymoon will be over soon) and dundee utd to the list ...this season seems to be the season of everyone playing/looking shyte

ive said before...give DL till the end of November

  5. remembering old days at Love St, going 1 down used to be when Saints fans were at their loudest. We used to encourage our players after going a goal down, let's get back to that.

brings back "AMAZING" memories of the singing in the northbank up against the fence

the standing days not the sitting days

we were loud and proud in those days

(for the youngsters...check out the 6-2 hammering of Hearts at love street to see us in full voice)

  6. I am a huge Lennon fan and can see what he tried to achieve here in the last 2 years

sadly its getting to the point where there is no return for him unless he turns it around with a huge effort from the players as they have to play their part in all this too

If i was in charge i would give Danny till the end of November to see what he can do and if he does well then fine, carry on old chap

If not,its time to go and give a new manager a month before the new window opens to give him a chance to assess the playing staff and target new arrivals for the new year

    BTW,tommo is not an option
