  1. The problem we (10000hours) have is that we are buying a business at the end of the day. A business that takes over 60% of it's revenues from commercial SPL TV and Sponsorship deals.

10000Hours need some assurances about the future of these deals before we, or our funder, can commit to the deal.

The selling consortium can't currently guarantee these deals will still be in place (nobody currently can) and they are similarly concerned about our ability as a fledgling organisation to deal with the nightmare scenario of those deals disappearing or being drastically reduced almost overnight.

So it is prudent and sensible for both parties to wait until there is more clarity on exactly what the position is before proceeding on either side..

The size of the bid made is what we can afford to pay back and we have managed to monetise the additional £4k per month in direct debits we have received from individuals in order to make the up front bid as attractive as we possibly can.

Be in absolutely no doubt, our deal is NOT dependent on NewCo being in the SPL, but our deal is very much dependent on St.Mirren FC being able to trade in the SPL as a going concern. The TV and sponsorship money the club takes from the SPL is a huge part of the clubs turnover whether you or I like it or not.

If 60% of the clubs income was to disappear overnight, with a playing squad of 23 or so first team players all contracted to be paid this season based on that revenue being there then the club would be in serious trouble.

The board want to gather the fans opinion on the NewCo vote but they also want to make absolutely sure that the fans are given all the necessary information to allow them to make an informed decision rather than a knee jerk one.

None of this is negative in any way, it's just plain common sense.

So when the club moved grounds debt free we find ourselves dependent on a TV deal?

how the f**k did that happen??????

  2. Well hopefully you can all see, those who take the time to read the real answers to the questions asked rather than assumptions, suppostion or just plain Screenwritter Fiction about the proposal will continue to engage over the weekend, the answers might be a bit slower in coming until Monday but we will continue to answer as best we can.

The CIC is 100% about Community Ownership and Fan Governance

It is 100% One Member One Vote

It is 100% about enabling any fan to engage and end up on the board of the Club they love

It is 100% about sustainabilty, transparency and keeping the Club safe for ever

    BUT

It is also 100% dependant on whether you the fans (including me) want it to happen.

So if it is to be 100% about the fans then it is also 100% in our hands to make it happen in the next week, so you and me must encourage all those who are still sitting on the fence believing that the Consortium will last for ever if the CIC does not complete the deal that the "Status Quo" is not a future and the Club will be in new ownership by the 4th of August.

You know who the doubters are you need to get hold of them and convince them like the 10000hours team convinced you

My Preference for the last 3 years worth of work has been that the new owner should be the widest possible fan base.

It really is now about "Whatever you Want"

    That ones for Big Fras.

    Have a great weekend

is it 100% "no rangers involved" ???????????

  3. Scottish football will not survive without rankgers?

There are 10 diddy teams who each play ( on average ) 16 homes games = 160 games

rankgers play 5 diddy teams twice at ipox and once away = 5 games

rankgers play the other 5 diddy teams once at home and twice away = 10 games

so in one league season rankgers visit diddy team grounds only 15 times

(this does not include games with the other ugly sister)

so basically all rankgers can account for is "under" 10% of income to other Scottish diddy teams

    are my maths wrong?

of course "numbers on the day" do come into it but i dont see Scottish football going down the pan without them

  4. ....and they appear to be deciding to ignore your message en-mass on this medium.

I can empathise with you Somner. I've been in your position for years. I've taken every opportunity over the years to point out where I think St Mirren are going wrong and I've tried, usually in vain, to offer a suggestion as to how to remedy the situation. More often than not I was vilified or just people just posted hate filled bile aimed at me. I could handle that cause I'm not a St Mirren supporter and if their customer base wanted to blindly follow their leaders excusing every dubious behaviour I knew it would have little effect on me. However you claim to be a St Mirren supporter, dead against the CIC which you state is threatening the clubs very existence, and yet for all your waffle you haven't yet come up with anything that has given other supporters cause to share your concern.

Can I share a little bit of friendly advice though? Others have already said much the same thing too, but Somner if you really do hold a silver bullet that will put 10000hours down once and for all, why not drop the alias, get out to those meetings, have the courage of your convictions and make sure that every single St Mirren supporter hears you express exactly what your concerns are. You might not be able to turn the tide now, but at least your conscience will be completely clear knowing you did absolutely everything in your power to save your beloved club.

Sadly i think the debacle over at rankgers has given a lot of "untrust" to any scheme at this moment in time

added to that the KMG scenario that didnt help matters either

its a real shame the timing of this takeover has been tarnished by the cheating brush of "the great institution" 6 miles down the road

lots of people are scare to go into the water above the knee let alone take "the plunge"

    i'll repeat.....ITS A REAL SHAME

  5. That's a possibility Slash and I may do that. I have been thinking that I may try to publish a book of the photos with a brief paragraph outlining the significance of each picture. Dont know how much interest there would be though.

At the moment I have probably another 200 shots (at least!) still to put up on here and some more I have in mind so this thread will run for a while yet. smile.png

im longing for a pic that i can pin point that no one else knows (200 to go....in with a wee shout)

you didnt by any chance, walk along the "backdoors" of Morar drive with your camera did you?
