Spoof E-Mails

21 May, 2007

We have had notification from some of the users of the Official Website that they have been receiving e-mails - claiming to be from us - that contain an attachment with a virus.

Please do not open the attachment - delete the e-mail as it does not come from us.

Please note that we don't send out e-mails with attachments!

Unfortunately this is something which is outwith our control as anyone with a bit of online 'know-how' can fake an e-mail address. Please note how much spoof e-mail you get claiming to be from reputable organisations like the Bank of Scotland, Ebay and Paypal to name but a few.

If you receive one of the aforementioned e-mails - do not open the attachment - delete the e-mail.

You are respectfully reminded that this news report and/or interview, as with all content on this website, is subject to copyright and the St Mirren Football Club Official Website MUST be acknowledged as the original source. Yeh, yeh, yeh.

It's from the OS
