  1. Aye cos I’m sure the hundreds of pounds raised on the Just Giving page were used to paint black letters on a wee bed sheet...
  2. Because I’m not a complete and utter IDIOT and I know how groups work... Mutual respect for each other and the willingness to work together even through differences of opinion. Doesny take a genius to work that out
  3. Nothing to do with me not accepting his decision, as I have already said I am not a representative of the boys in W7 and what I am saying/feeling does not reflect what they are.
  4. The decision of whether or not the banner should be made, had to be made by the group. As it is a group, if a suggestion is put forward there is a vote on this to determine whether or not it will be done, this vote was done and resulted in the banner being made. If one member of the group was to say they wanted to do it and everyone else said no then of course this would be ridiculous, but if the majority agree, the minority support the rest of the groups decision as it is made as a GROUP and represented by ALL members in the group.
  5. Can I just further point out that I am in no way a representative of W7 and all the things I have stated in here are my own personal opinions and thoughts. So no, I haven’t done any of these things.
  6. What I want is for the club, SLO & W7/Northbank boys to work together for the future, whether this is what all involved parties want I’m unsure of as I cannot speak for any of them. I am complaining about the lack of communication between the parties and the doors being slammed in faces with regards to this. Can I just point out that my views have absolutely no correlation to the views of the boys in W7, as I’m not a spokesperson for them, for lack of a better word. This is just what I think about the situation and what I think should be done about it. I am in no way saying the club are all wrong and the boys in w7 are angels, as that would be a complete bare faced lie. There is wrong doing on both sides and until they can both come together to fix this mess I’m not willing to say any more about this.
  7. I’m afraid you’ve got this all wrong. I could continue this back and forth with you regarding this all night, but then again what’s the point? You obviously have the image in your head that the boys in W7/Northbank are all selfish little children who don’t understand anything about the adult world and don’t have respect for anything or anyone. If you ever become less judgemental and more open to other people’s point of view then let me know as I’d be happy to discuss this mater further with you.
  8. Just because someone closes you down with an outright no, does not mean you are not entitled to further conversations to investigate further into the reasoning behind this. With that reasoning no one would ever get a job/promotion they have previously been rejected for or achieve something they’ve been told “no” for before.
  9. No one is asking for the club to agree on every idea out forward from those in W7, only that better communications are to be had, rather than a one sided “telling off” which I believe is how members of Northbank/W7 have felt at previous meetings with the club. Supporting the team is what they are all about, I can assure you no one in the group wants things to be as hard as they have been and would love if things were more of a two way street with the club but up until not this has not happened. I hope this will change from now on though. The club has issued a statement after the event has already happened, rather than allowing conversation to be had before it did? It’s all a bit backwards to me. As I said I hope things will get to a point where both parties can compromise to reach an agreement on all matters and that the can communicate better for all future matters.
  10. Entitled to what exactly? Being treated fairly by police and the club, which is all the boys from W7 are looking for?
  11. Poor judgement it may be, but it was a hard decision that had to be made by the group. Regarding the police visits, the individual involved had done nothing to warrant this visit nor had any of the group members done anything to deserve being followed around the country by police watching their every move just looking for an excuse to warrant their decision.
  12. Nothing to do wih an entitlement complex. Its down to the club to give adequate reasoning behind any displays / banners not being allowed, and in this occasion there was no club rules broken in the creation of this banner, so for what reason was it not allowed in? If it’s not against the clubs policies/rules, then what’s the issue?
  13. The “present system” for what exactly? The process of getting banners/displays accepted? If so then what should be done is a list rules set out, agreed upon and adhered to by both parties, not just one side saying no, no, no then making up excuses for why things aren’t allowed. Dont understand what you mean about placing the SLO in a terrible position? The SLO was asked their opinion on the banner in question and they agreed that they didn’t see the issue with it, once this was said the door was shut by St Mirren, once again stopping any conversations that could have followed between the club, SLO & W7 affiliates. Trust me there has been plenty of perseverance and countless displays and flags that have been widely accepted by the fans and the club, but unfortunately these are all forgotten about whenever something happens they don’t like and all of a sudden the folks in W7 are painted in a bad light again. I can understand the frustrations from both the club and the boys in W7, what I can’t understand is why the club, when faced with adequate opportunities to communicate, choose not to do so?
  14. So what happens when you deem something to be unreasonable and these actions are deemed acceptable by the person “in charge”, in this instance referring to Gordon Scott? If I don’t agree with something then I’ll make my point known, not just roll over and agree with everything that’s said because that’s just life and I need to deal with it. If that was the case humanity just wouldn’t progress.
  15. I wasn’t referring to the posts on here, more so on Facebook and Twitter which seems to be the most common platforms for posts to me made. What I will say is that the boys aren’t doing what they’re doing to gain approval/support from every fan out there, as that’s an impossible task. I think that what was meant by this was just that, and all that the boys in W7 are trying to achieve is to create a good atmosphere home & away to spur the team on, rather than to be a group of fans that are viewed on a higher level than other fans. But with that being said I don’t think it was ever their intention to purposefully argue with other fans or create a negative atmosphere between them, I feel this is down to tensions rising with all parties involved. I agree that this whole thing is a shambles and the sooner it’s resolved the better.
  16. I understand what you’re saying, but at what point does that become a dictatorship of what Gordon Scott says goes, and anyone that disagrees will be ignored and demonised until they’re forced into submission? It seems that posting on Social Media gets the club to pay attention to W7 and what their requests are, whether these be reasonable or not. Surely that fault lies with the club for shutting off communications and not with the boys trying to reopen the conversation by gaining support from other fans?
  17. Completely agree with the points you make here. The only issue, for me at least, is that when all efforts to communicate are made in vain, he boys quite rightly don’t want to just give up and allow the wrongdoings to take place. If something is against the clubs rules then absolutely 100% this should be accepted, but if reasons are plucked from thin air as to why things aren’t allowed, you can understand why people would be frustrated about this. It was definitely a risk doing the banner after already being told no, and I’m sure they where all well aware of the backlash it could receive, but as you can imagine people are very disgruntled about the backstory behind the banner and the events that led up to it. If the door is continuisly being shut in their faces every time they try to create noise & colour (ie drum, West stand being all saints, displays, flags etc) and having to jump through hoops for these things to be allowed you can imagine how p*ssed off they would be after being contacted by police to inform them they are being watched with regards to “organised violence”. Its a total kick in the teeth after all the effort they’ve made and I completely understand why they feel the way the do. It’s just a shame the club haven’t made any effort to show they stand by them, appreciate their continued efforts and haven’t exactly made things easy for them to say the least.
  18. Wish people would understand that there is more to what they see posted online. I feel a lot of fans jump to the conclusion that those who sit in W7 just take to the internet every time something doesn't go their way (acting like petulant children, spitting dummy out pram etc as what people have posted on this thread). This is simply not the case. Taking to Social Media is a last resort for the boys involved and before every post there is a significant of back and forth with all parties involved (W7/Northbank, the club, GS, SLO etc) and the recurring theme is that when disagreements are had, the club shut the door and close the discussion. If they cannot come to an agreement and solve any issues via email then this is when the conversation is usually taken to social media, this then usually reopens to door to discussion once the club/anyone involved have realised that the issue won't just go away if they ignore it. The people in W7 have put in a tremendous amount of effort, time and money into supporting the team over the past 2 years, and it seems like they have had to jump through some very unreasonable hoops just to be allowed to bring some colour and noise to SMP, how many of you fans would continue to push for this after being told no at every opportunity?
  19. If the club deem a banner to be unacceptable, and this is due to legitimate, reasonable rules stated within the clubs policies, then I think we can all agree that said banner would not be brought into SMP.
  20. Really no need in how patronising you have been throughout this thread. Attitudes like that only help to further form a wedge between the fans.
