I liked him too. In the Championship. I can’t remember. Did he run down his contract and leave us or did we just not renew? I believe it was the former, so feck him. 😂
Certainly on the decline now, fell out of favour at Bristol Rovers then not being able to break through at Carlisle, maybe a Hamilton or Motherwell type player these days, not us

Funny you ask...
I saw a nice goal at the weekend by a guy whose languorous style reminded me of Isma.
A guy playing for a wee south London team. Watch him lazily wind between defenders to score the second goal.
Eze by name, easy by nature. Lovely.
Sheffield's relegation defending certainly helped him, they even managed to make benteke look a threat🤣🤣🤣

Fully expect jeez ffs, sorry had a couple of sherbets🥺
-
I fully expect obika and morias to make way up front for brophy Erwin and Dennis more of a better fit with 2 forwards as probably how they have been played in past.
-
We could offer morias as replacement

Fantastic signing if it goes ahead(and no reason it shouldn't). A real intent and no doubt some players in our forward area will be gone

Well he certainly keeps trying to impress us by volunteering that he's a scout with connections all over the world and that he represents people he is "not at liberty to divulge the details of".
Some believe him, some don't. I fall into the category of not really caring TBF.
Might be wrong but did same poster follow Sheffield Wednesday a while ago along with saints? Before the scouting stuff

Ok maybe not you then😃

Please tell me it isn't @God of war 😀
It certainly could be, if it's who I think it is he is on our (me & Mrs cs use her facecrap account) friends list but can't be sure

You are new here.
You haven't met FlareyBob before, have you?
It's all a windup.
Thought so but never too sure with our scouting in past.☺
Been having a nosey on here for quite a few years just decided to get organised and register for a change😊
Think there is possibly one poster on here that I know, one that has started scouting players etc

Well, not quite the lockdown we had back in March.
If you can work from home, work from home, that'll discount all manufacturing and construction.
Never mind, got to keep the economy going.
PS At least the roads will be quiet, I'll get home 5 minutes earlier every night.
Amazingly we are getting dithering doris doing a public address at 8PM after Nic takes sensible action. That's imo probably not shared by some on here but hey ho

Obika is out of contract in the summer as well.
I can see him not being offered a new deal either.
Foley is surely at the end of his time here.
Flynn should be offered a new 12 month deal though.
ETA. Connolly is out of contract in the summer. Not sure about that one TBH. And Durmus. Again not sure about him either. Too many times these two have been hit and miss. If Jim can identify better players these two might well be offski.
I think the type of player we will be looking for will be getting will be more in line with the dynamics of the team. What I mean by this is I don't think we would be looking towards older players to stabilise the team as what we have done in past who maybe only got 1 or 2 seasons in them. Instead trying to get players in that will push team forward.
Not forgetting we haven't had our annual managerial change and wholesale team rebuilding so would seem as if on a better footing, league table certainly suggests so.

It is my understanding that St Mirren are set to sign the 6ft 6 striker Tom Denton from Chesterfield.
The signing should be completed in the next 7 to 10 days according to one of my sources.
As much as I think its crap, wouldn't surprise me if we signed him, a 31 year old national league striker to go along with the other misfiring lot😬

Wife 2nd car was a Vauxhall Viva that on the whole wasn't that bad.
Can remember going down Renfrew Rd with me working the window wipers with a clothes hanger due to them not working. Arm was wet and freezing by the time we got home
Thank god she drives good cars now.
Got to admit there couldn't be anything more soul destroying that pulling the choke on a freezing morning and the cable snapping and ending up with it inside the car😭 oh the joys of 70s/80s motoring haha. Along with thinking a mk2 escort wasn't a rattle box🤣🤣

At first got to admit I thought it was club bar but that was a little bit further down if I remember right. I do remember the fish shop tho in county square.

My wife 1st car was a Austin Morris and her 3rd was a Austin Allegro
Both was skips on wheels
We had a vauxhall viva with a black vinyl roof with black vinyl seats, great fun to sit in late 70s/early 80s when summers were hot. Like sitting in an oven. My dad worked at car plant but only ever had 1 Hillman minx for short time cos apparently he didn't like them🤣

Yeah, cannie beat all that traffic at stand still.
Was like that more often than not. 🙂
Got to agree with some of the proper cars in the pic, great to see even if some were Austin maxi's. Awful cars.

Not a hard hat or high Viz in sight
Plenty of stunning cars however !
I don’t mind being old, but I definitely miss the Paisley of my youth growing up in the 70s/80sBit of common sense health and safety reminds me of serving apprenticeship Haha.

I hate to burst your bubble but we, along with every other club, are skint as well?
I'm not saying we aren't, I however don't think we are heading for financial oblivion like some in England. The wage cap was brought in to try and stop it but it won't.

Yep thats exactly what I thought. Its an odd one and tbh if he was showing that level of form with Cheltenham then I'm surprised he's at SMFC. Maybe Goodwin worked some magic. Lets hope he can do it again.
I think most clubs down here are running basically maxed out due to wage caps, I do think it will change in summer when clubs will get out of having higher wage players. Until this happens it certainly leaves us in a better position for bringing better quality players in along with having a manager who can sell club well to potential players.

Or who might be getting moved on......
Morias?
Foley?
Flynn?
any others who may be out of contract in summer or haven't featured much

I've got to agree, would be the same situation as Craig Gordon and Hearts again.....

I'm confident he will sign although I think it will be more 2 years with a 1 year option. I'm sure there are more players of same age been dropped by clubs and desperate to get back into the game. Whether he would stay the length of a contract, debatable. Certainly give him a platform to go onto having a good career, staying with us imo.
