    I’ll give you a trebler………..

    Clyde at Douglas Park

Airdrie too possibly. Not sure of the dates they played at Broadwood.*

    Broomfield, Broadwood, The Excelsior.

*They played between 1994- 1998. We played them many times between those dates, so most likely it's another trebler.

All much of a muchness, power leads to greed and corruption and the "eye watering" amounts are all relative.

I'm struggling to see why the ferries fiasco continues to see public funds being pocketed by cronies and incompetent of the SNP.

The ferry situation is absolutely open to question and rightly so. A total disgrace.

Much like the Edinburgh tram fiasco that the SNP inherited from the labour party that are currently wetting their knickers. Short memories indeed.

Here's the latest example of tory corruption.

This is someone who has a pivotal role in running our country, albeit badly, with a highly racist undertone  FFS!

IMO the jury was out when he was with us, Aberdeen panicked and jumped in when he/we were on a good, albeit short, run of form.

He was shown up at Aberdeen, had them heading for a relegation battle, got binned and looks like taking United down.

Two teams with bigger resources than us, we dodged a bullet IMO.

I was disappointed when Goodwin left, which might have been more down to his "club legend" status rather than his management performance, which was very inconsistent.

I didn't shit the bed during Robbo's bedding in period and thankfully neither did the board.

Robbo is streets ahead of Goodwin and we're incredibly lucky to have him, for now.

We've given every team in the top six a run for their money in at least one game this season and that's solely down to Robbo.:notworthy

Someone take this guys social media access away, embarrassing himself yet again.

    Sounds like a great idea.

Give wider access to fans to socialise both pre and post match, and generate more income through corporate hospitality. A win, win situation.

I pay a yearly subscription to the 1877 club, but I think the last time I was there was after the Livingston game when we got promoted to the Premiership.

I was going to cancel this year, but I forgot. I noticed the yearly subscription was taken off in March this year. Wonder if I'll get a refund when they shut it.:whistle

    ALAN WARDROP STADIUM BAN

For those of you who were unable to attend last nights Smisa AGM the 1877 Club would like to reference the answer St.Mirren Chairman John Needham gave to why 1877 Club Host and Membership Manager Alan Wardrop has been banned from the stadium and prevented from supporting St.Mirren, the team he has supported for the last 50 years. It was because the board were concerned Mr Wardrop might have used his role as host of the 1877 club to use the mic as a platform for his agenda against Kibble influence in St.Mirren Football Club.

Asked if the board had engaged with Mr Wardrop prior to the Hearts game and raised their concerns, the answer was no.

Mr Wardrop did not attend the game as he was banned for POTENTIALLY speaking up against the Kibble staff on the Board of St.Mirren FC.

He did'nt attend the game adhering to the ban and not creating a scene for his friends who provide security to the main reception.

For the intelligent members on this forum which will exclude Billy Gray,Bazil85,FarawaySaint and JJMCG this is the world of George Orwell's 1984 where the thought police intervene and arrest you and punish you for "thought crime, personal and and political thoughts unapproved by KIBBLE's regime." Sorry we meant Ingsoc's regime .... but if the shoe fits ?

    Alan remains banned indefinitely.

What if it was you ?

Animal, well done on creating this thread and your post, but it's just the tip of the iceberg.

Unusual to anybody except the staunch SNP supporters.

I can imagine if this had been a Conservative leader, the salivating would have been of tsunami proportions.

I doubt anyone would have batted an eye lid if a conservative leader or politician had been involved in such a situation, given the eye-watering levels of corruption they've consistently displayed over the past few years, and most of it at considerable cost to the tax payer.

Even that distasteful level of corruption seems to have been meekly accepted by the majority of the UK population.

The SNP situation is certainly unusual indeed and their motives should indeed be questioned.

I do find it strange however that the constabulary can find it in themselves to investigate the potential misuse of non-tax payer related funds, but don't see fit to investigate the hundreds of millions of pounds of tax payers money spent during Covid, that ended up in the bank accounts of friends of the tories.

Did you give the chairman permission to ask for the club 1877 membership personal details. You'd think someone in that position would know about personal data protection. This whole sorry saga just goes to prove we don't have any leadership or any professional management at the club. If this goes on much longer everything is going to implode leaving the club in a perilous state

I'd imagine most members, like me, are season ticket holders, so the club will already have their personal details.

Yet another mountain being made out of a molehill

I certainly didn't give permission to receive an e-mail with someone airing their personal vendetta against club officials.

Anyway, I'll leave the wee boys to their playground squabbles.

I think this has been dealt with clumsily at all levels and by all parties, worse of all it is now being played out through National Media which will be to no-one's benefit.

TBH no one outside of the club has the slightest interest in this nonsense.

Most Saints fans I know couldn't care less about it, as they have a life.

Don't get hung up on development fees. We'll only get what someone is willing to pay. No-one was willing to pay the full fee for the bargain that was John McGinn. We can ask for a fee but what we get is another matter. Jay is 21 and an age where he should be playing first team football. I can see Championship teams interested but only willing to pay a nominal fee, if that. Else he stays for another year and walks away for free.

Happily for us that's not how it works.

There are a few ways that this can play out.

A club will pay the development fee or a fee that the club deems suitable. Which, with the club's finances being as they are, won't be a cut-price sum.

A club can choose not to pay the development fee or a fee that the club deems suitable, and it goes to tribunal, where the training development fees criteria will be applied along with factors like first team appearances and U-21 appearances etc.

No-one is interested enough to stump up the development fee or take it to a tribunal and he re-signs. We keep him for a year, then the same scenario arises as the training development fee covers players up to the age of 23. Henderson is 21.

He signs for somewhere out with UEFA jurisdiction e.g. USA and we don't get a development fee.

    No one

    You could well be correct.

Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

I wonder how much the development fee amounts to?

Pure speculation on my part, but If Reid's was around £100K, you'd have to imagine that Henderson's would be at least that.
