I was a total sceptic on GT getting the job however he has turned me around completely. For the first time all season GT & DL have given the team some momentum....with Motherwell plummeting lets take advantage of that. Announce the pair are in charge until the end of the season, let them get some bodies in, keep the lads giving everything. He has been bold and got rid of the deadwood and shown faith in the kids who have ability. A long time since a saints manager has been bold like that. That way, we might find a way out of the sorry mess we find ourselves in right now.

Why the negativity around his age? Newton, Dummet, McGinn all had no experience and look how well they turned out last season. I would rather see us going down this route than paying a fee for a goalkeeper with a reputation for slip ups (clangers@aberdeen) or tie us down to a 2 year deal with some average performing SPL "star".

His ability to hold the ball is what impresses me. Not your standard kick and rush Scottish central midfielder. £1m + with 2 years left on his contract. If we hold on to him though we will need to cash in next summer unless he can agree a new deal before then. McArthur is another grossly overrated Scottish player. He should aim higher than that.
