  1. Killie made all three subs already. We haven't made any, still 0-0.
  2. Bah, back to scrappy rubbish again. Both teams look like they will take 0-0, which I find a bit worrying given how much we could do with a win given our next few games.
  3. Gowser breaks, should shoot, passes it to Newton. Newton should shoot, passes it to Magennis. Magennis shanks it. Why won't we shoot? Good save Kello.
  4. Don't know what Josh is doing. Should have leathered it across the goalie, instead side foots it near post?
  5. Great chance Magennis, fluffs it, Samson saves. It's here...
  6. Samson pulls off great save from McGinn, best chance of the match. Come on!
  7. Half time 0-0 Pretty dull game if truth be told. Think we are edging it in terms of territory and half chances. Both teams look pretty nervous.
  8. I miss what Paul McGowan used to be. If he doesn't improve between now and May I wouldn't be averse to releasing him at the end of the season. Good free kick by Kenny, just wide. Thank goodness Goody isn't taking them!
  9. Injury break for Killie. We've started somewhere between well and okay. Crowds pretty flat. McGinn is our best player again, I'm glad Eric and Wylde have been dropped. Think Danny has got the team about right.
  10. Thommo won a good knock down in the box and Gowser almost got to it. Thommo just dragged a shot wide. We are edging it here. Come onnnn....
  11. Eremenko and Boyd must be the laziest strike force I've ever seen. Cue both scoring a hat trick.
  12. Even-ish start. Both sides having an equal share of possession and territory. Shite Killie crowd, not like them.
  13. What a terrible poster 'beyond our ken' is.
  14. To whom? And what would Danny Lennon know about it?
  15. Oh and, the bit about not giving him a new contract due to the club being for sale is patent nonsense and shameless spin from the BoD. As the article points out, the club has been for sale since 2009. Danny was appointed in 2010 and given a contract extension in 2011. The club is no nearer to being sold now as it was then. Infact it's probably further away as the CiC is no longer on the horizon. Therefore the club being for sale point is nothing to do with Danny not being given a new contract. If it is, why was he given one in 2011? The reason Danny won't be getting a new contract is due to our almost unmitigated disaster of a season. He's failed in every competition this term and we are in a lower position in the league than we were when he took over 4 years ago.
  16. This has been clear since Dundee United knocked us out the cup. There is no way Danny will be getting a new contract to manage here next season, regardless of what happens between now and May. He's wasted far too much money on transfer disasters and oh, we are in the ever familiar position of 11th in the league. Danny therefore is not managing us between now and May to win a contract at St Mirren, he and the BoD knows that won't be happening. Danny's motivation in managing us between now and May must be for his future employment possibilities. If Danny relegates us it is pretty likely he will never manage a full time club again. Look how long Gus took us to get back in, and he had achieved more with us than Danny has. If he keeps us up he has a decent chance of getting a job with a Championship or a League 1 club like Morton next season.
  17. Every cup win carries a measure of luck. Ours was no more or no less than any other cup win. The Aberdeen game we were actually unlucky. We were completely the better side before conceding an injury time equaliser and were denied a stonewall penalty in extra time. The Celtic game we were also on the wrong end of a very soft penalty decision, we doubtlessly deserved to win that match however, and we did. Didn't see anything lucky or unlucky about the final, most Hearts fans admit they were beaten by the better team on the day.
  18. The cup win was doubtlessly glorious and my best ever day supporting the Saints. It showed what the team what the squad was capable of. However it served to make the abysmal league form all the more frustrating. How could a team who can play that well in 5 one off games finish 11th in the league? I have no idea, but we somehow managed it.
