Ball Boy

Ball Boy (2/14)

  1. Somebody gubbed them 5-0 at home. Wheels off and all that. ;)
  2. The Greenock Morton one has pretty much the same updates.
  3. 0-0 - both have come close, from what Twitter is saying.
  4. Full coverage of the Tennents sixes group match from 1985.
  5. The drop ball thing is an interesting one. Normally when uncontested the ball is kicked to the opposition - you can see a Ton player gesturing to the ref when Turner opts to keep it. Even the ref plonks it down in a manner suggesting impatience. The red card actually opened up the midfield. Anderson was a defender and was often lost in the middle. The 4-1 game - my mate opted to get married that day. All I could do was listen to the evening guests who had been there. Another of my mates only got in at 2-1 up due to a lack of open turnstiles. All of the derbies that season were away wins.
  6. Ok - this is NOT a derby clip, but you'll enjoy it nonetheless. All down to the ex-Morton player in your ranks
  7. I'm afraid I don't have that one. The older clips from Beta tapes belonged to a friend (axeman on the Ton site) and myself and another mate copied them to VHS. They tended to be games only where we won, or occasionally, only the Morton goals would be recorded if it was a defeat. Later clips like the one below are from my own VHS recordings, which I converted to DVD a few years ago. I initially only spliced together the goals or key moments from full highlights to make 4/5 minute clips, but lately I've been doing 1st and 2nd half, now that YouTube allows me longer videos. I have uploaded almost every Morton game I have, even the real dross when the club was on its knees at the turn of the millennium. Here's the 1987 Cup game, featuring the only side to ever take the lead against the eventual winners. ;)
  8. The goals from that are on YouTube already, somewhere. You can definitely hear the Ton fans doing the bouncy seconds before Chalmers scores the first goal.I have the highlights, although mine cuts from the second Saints goal straight to the third because I stupidly rewound the tape to see my mate waving behind the goal, then recorded the English game from where I had stopped the tape. Got the third goal off the TV on cup final day. I shall try to get that up tonight.
  9. I don't think that game was ever on TV. Pity, as I'd like to have seen Bannerman's rocket opener. It was the same day that Scotland scraped a 2-2 draw in the Faroes, so the TV lot were busy elsewhere.
  10. He used to be the guy in Tonosaurus mascot costume we had way before the cat.Edit - same clip, in the crowd shot after Yardley's goal there's a balding fan who adjusts his specs before punching the air. Looks remarkably like my old boss, except he would never have been seen anywhere near a football match.
  11. Last one - from your title season. Somewhere I have your 6-2 win over Hearts from the year they bottled it. I'll let you know if I manage to upload it.
  12. One short clip, one long. The second one will be familiar, and has no commentary as it was never shown on TV.
