southside saint Posted May 24, 2006 Report Share Posted May 24, 2006 The estimate by the manufacturer will likely be based on a 3 minute song ripped at 96kbs. Not realistic. WMA files take up less room than MP3, but sound quality-wise, you need to rip at 192kbs or else you end up with flat sounding music- and what's the point of an MP3 player if it doesn't actually enhance your sound? So- I reckon you'd get around 400-500 good quality tracks on there, up to around 600-700 if you rip at 128kbs. Probably Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
