The recent decision by Graeme Souness to get involved in an English Channel swim has raised the profile and fundraising has risen significantly. There was a good item on the BBC news earlier, highlighting the case of Isla Grist and the daily challenges she has to endure, quite distressing at times TBH. This young girl has visibly moved Souness and has seen the charity have an unmeasurable rise in publicity and his swim has raised over £1m, including a very generous donation by Sir Alex Ferguson. One of the board members of DEBRA is a lifelong St Mirren supporter and has been behind many previous fundraising efforts, including a shop here in Arbroath which we've supported for quite a while.
