You really have to wonder at the terrible quality of this attempt from "Netflix" and if anyone is naive enough to send them credit card details...... Hell mend them as my late mother used to say.

Arbroath v St Mirren, Sat 12th Aug

There's some debate about the pitch. Absolutely nothing worth talking about, certainly not detrimental to playing football. Disappointed in the attendance, mainly from the home support. -
I bailed out before that, it was a long day George Michael was the only person who could get close to Mercury vocally so no disagreement there. Watched Bowie, average, at best, vocally, but has something about him. PS Meant to say, tickets were £25, a few bob 40 years ago but what a lineup.

Watching Live Aid at 40. A few outstanding performances. Tops, by a long way, for me were Queen. Mercury was phenomenal vocally and an outstanding performer. A once in a lifetime concert.

Well, disappointed. Plenty of possession, especially in the first half, but no threat. Arbroath defended well but we were a bit one dimensional and lacked the guile to open them up. Penalties, ach, all a bit of a lottery so not a lot to say about that. Our poor firm in cups continues. -

It's to be warm today but a wee bit of harr will drift in to give the players a wee bit of shade. Looking forward to a good day and a winning start for Saints. -

Sinner destroys a lackluster, and possibly injured, Djokovic. So Sunday's final, as expected, sees the top two face off for the Wimbledon title.
-
Alcaraz comes through in 4 sets against a very tough opponent in Fritz. Alcaraz has slowly stepped up the quality game by game. His touch around the net is exquisite. Next up, Sinner v Djokovic.

Mind wear a stupid hat, they're all the rage, so I can spot you.

The beloved entertainer Glen Michael, who has died at the age of 99, moved to Scotland in 1952 and never looked back. In a 2014 interview with The Herald, he recalled arriving in the country to work with stage and screen star Jack Milroy, saying: "I came up for five weeks. On November 15, 1952, I turned up at the Victoria Theatre, Paisley to start rehearsals and I didn't know what the hell I'd come to. "I didn't know anything about Glasgow or Scotland - and I never went back (to England). I loved it, I loved the people. "I often wonder what I would've done if I had stayed there (London). But I've had such a fantastic life in Scotland, I would never regret it; it's been wonderful. Meeting all these people."
