What's the problem? If he's good enough then he'll be in the team. If we have another keeper who is better than he won't. And you can be sure that if Cornell isn't good enough to get a regular game with St. Mirren then he won't be good enough to get a regular game at Swansea! If Cornell doesn't get a regular game with us then Swansea will be looking to get shot!

I wonder if any so-called Saints fans have the guts to admit they got more enjoyment out of Saints winning the League Cup so they could come on to this forum and abuse fellow buds. I bet they exist.

As I have mentioned before, back in 78 our 2 keepers were aged 17 & 20 and didn't have a single league appearance to their names at the start of the season. They were arguably the greatest ever keepers we've ever had... and we finished top 6!

Newton & Goncalves were pretty successful signings in the last window. Without them we wouldn't have won the League Cup and we would have been relegated.

As long as they are good, I don't care what age they are! Those guys were "good" defenders! In any case, Van Zanten, Mair, Goodwin and even McAusland are all experienced!

Why the clamour for "experienced" players? What I want to see is Saints signing "good" players!

Harkins is a better set play specialist than Carey. He also scores more goals than Carey and creates more goals than Carey. Its a good bit of business from our Danny!
