SPL ceased to exist SEVEN years ago. It’s a Scottish League and it is the Premier League, SPL still counts as a term.

Even more so that the SPL has the winter break, yet the lower leagues who largely have no under soil heating are still expected to play, even though they are the ones likely to get hit with a frozen pitch. We could always send Celtic and Sevco there and then leave them behind.

I doubt it, with 0 points they’ll throw you into the back of a VW scirocco and send you to the workhouses.

Really? League Cup all day long. And it isn’t just the final us Saints fans remember, it was also that cracker of a semi final when we punted Celtic out. Scraping survival against Dundee United comes nowhere near close.

He didn’t need money - if that was an issue he would never have joined us. His career was spent earning wages we could never hope to match. Agree regarding Alex Smith - it’s the cup successes people remember. We’ve been in so many relegation battles I’ve forgotten most of them outside of the 3-2 Fir Park thriller and that random stunning performance at Falkirk when we won 2-0.

Can’t say I do. The first season I seen the Pirates was actually their last one in the British system before they stepped down to the Scottish leagues. Most of my following of them was the Scottish league days before the move to Braehead which was when I stopped. I can remember some names from the BNL side but don’t recognise McKie at all.

I did have a look at half time tbf. Draw was 14/1 and win I canny remember, but I wasn’t happy with it only being 14/1. Also looked at 4-4 (25/1) and 5-4 (45/1). Didn’t go ahead with it in the end.
