Well, yes, obviously! I had even thought of stating that it was a hypothetical question but realised it should be a given! [emoji12] So what’s your answer then, yes or no?
Just because you didn’t know who was available later in the window doesn’t mean that Gus didn’t! You haven’t answered the question. If you thought you could sign better players later in the window (like Gus & JG obviously do), would you not wait?
Cooke was first choice striker in the play offs against Dundee United plus Erhahon was a regular for most of last season. MacPherson started a number of games last season as well.
The 7 that Baz listed, plus Erhahon and Andreu should have been good enough to beat Albion Rovers.... even with a weak bench!
I think it was a reasonable assumption to make that we should qualify from the group without the need to rush making signings!
Most of them were regulars last season and supplemented with Andreu. Whether or not they will be the first choice XI is irrelevant. They should have been good enough to beat these teams!
Totally true. However, the players that we did have at our disposal should have been more than good enough to qualify from that League Cup group. And if being unprepared at this stage is the price that needs to be paid to get in a good standard of player, I’d rather that than filling the squad with shite at an earlier stage, as per last season. Beep, beep, backtracking under way! If you’re going to post ‘evidence’ to prove me wrong, next time, try and make sure it doesn’t prove me right! [emoji23] You can’t even work the quote function properly you clown!
