  1. The majority of Scotland did not vote SNP in 2021. Also the majority of the UK never voted Tory in 2019. Unfortunately that’s how electoral democracy works in Scotland and the UK. The majority are always left with a government they never voted for. The first part of the your post is offensive to the people who voted different to you. It’s as if their opinion does not matter nor count. The 1m Scots voted to leave because they follow a certain team and they are bitter because they were liquidated in 2012. - You really need to start reading facts, open your mind and stop believing the propaganda that gets peddled out.
  2. Another nationalist standard response. It’s all Thatchers fault. Christ she has not been in power since 1990. 32 later she is still getting rolled out to blame for Scotland selling its assets. Most of the assets i mentioned were sold to foreign owners after she had died in 2013
  3. There you have it laid bare. If you dare to question the propaganda you are a Tory/unionist/not welcome. Then there is the resort to a personal insult when you have nothing of intelligent left to respond with. But don’t worry Scotland will perform better socially if it was independent…………………….provided you don’t open your mind and dare to question the rhetoric being spouted. Brilliant that you quote so many nice things about Scotland however in relation to Energy you failed to note that Scottish Power is owned by a Spanish Company and SSE is owned by an English. Company. All that energy that we create goes in to the coffers of “foreign” companies. The majority of all fish that is landed is owned/controlled by 2 very rich families. You forgot to mention the large Whisky companies that are owned by the companies in France, England, Phillippines & America That most timber is farmed on land opened by Private Investors that are not Scottish. We also have the tidal wave sites sold to foreign investors. Lots of natural resources and sites being looted by “bloody foreigner’s” so they can build their skyscrapers in London.
  4. Can you imagine the outrage if the new PM held a referendum for the rest of the UK (excluding Scotland) to ask if Scotland should be allowed to remain as part of the union. The irony would be fantastic.
  5. Rascal i think you asked the wrong question. Why does London want to hold on to the UK. Separately if you believe the figures are not a true reflection please direct me to the correct figures.
  6. What you see now they have cut the trees back is the City of London. One of the worlds largest net exporters in financial services. Money generates money. It is not large buildings created by looting Scotland. As for draining Scotland, have a look at the GERS figures Scotland generated in 2020 65,155m in revenue inclusive of ALL North Sea oil revenue (56,185m without) In the same year Scotland spent 81,015m In summary Scotland spent circa £16,000m more than they contributed. That City you see in your photo has a population of 10.3m with an average annual wage of £37k Where as Scotland with a population of 5.5m has an average wage of circa £26.9k Its fair to say that London generates more income tax, NI, Corporation Tax and VAT than Scotland and those buildings are contributing to helping the UK It is estimated that London contributes over 30% of the entire UK revenue. Maybe its London that’s being drained. Are you now confused
  7. We will take your word for it. Any thoughts on “ education, NHS, public services, ferries, strikes, Prestwick, Hospital Scandals, Aluminium smelters, borderline sexual predator behaviour.” Nope !! Guess so lets move on.
  8. Is that selective reading on your part 😂 Maybe take a leaf out of your book
  9. Admit it your making it up. To embarrassed to admit you have the SNP Constitution. It’s fine i will not judge
  10. I’m not sure i took the comment as distain of Scotland and more a sound bite dig at Sturgeon. What i was concerned about was the audience reaction to the comment that demonstrates that there were many who aligned themselves with Truss comments and dislike the FM If these comments on Sturgeon are as you claim a reflection of Scotland then you can also say that some of the comments made by Sturgeon on Johnson are her rubbishing English people. The problem with all politicians now is they play for the populism angle and are more interested in the sound bite than delivering policy. While this side issue is going on no one is talking about education, NHS, public services, ferries, strikes, Prestwick, Hospital Scandals, Aluminium smelters, borderline sexual predator behaviour.
  11. Not sure the relevance of your first line. You must be fuming that Boris will be gone as the SNP deflector. Suppose you could just change the narrative from Boris to Westminster. Pubic hair does not get a vote in Scotland. I will conceded if they did then you would get the millions you claim. For the record i have never voted Tory !!
  12. I thought you were making it up, as i could not find the Constitution on google never mind section 15.7. the second line in your response is written like a true politician. Lots of words with no content
  13. Is your SNP Constitution next to your copy of Mein Kampf. Watch you don’t get the 2 mixed up. Making stuff up 😂 Why did no one oppose her as potential leader in 2014, was she possibly groomed by Salmond for the role.
  14. So its like a SMISA election where the candidates are vetted by a 3rd party before they are put before the members. Very democratic system.
  15. Thats not how the UK electoral system works. You vote for someone to represent you locally. Then the party with the largest number of seats forms government. The leader of that party is the PM. When Ms Sturgeon became leader in 2014 no one voted for her to be the First Minister.
  16. Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe husband was complementary on the fact that Liz Truss was the first of 6 Foreign Secretaries to actually get his wife home. I’m not sure that he is particularly bothered that she signed a fake confession to get home. What she and he are bothered about is that Liz Truss promised to deal with the kidnappers, which she has failed to do despite being given the names of the 10 main Iranian antagonists 9 months ago. She is just like all politicians, where they make promises that hope they never have to deliver..
  17. Ms Sturgeon was reelected as a MSP with 19,735 constituency votes. Not the 1m you claim. Also worth noting that all the posturing from the SNP about democracy with the Tory leadership campaign and then forgetting that Ms Sturgeon was elected leader of the SNP in 1994 unopposed. Thats hardly democratic.
  18. Maybe she was sitting on your high horse when she was measured
  19. Interesting read however the issue (IMO - For Slarti benefit) is that in the UK the introduction to alcohol is usual on the back of getting hammered at the weekend. Other countries introduce alcohol in a more social environment where getting hammered is not on the agenda. Education Education Education
  20. You stated that there was "no coincidence" as if there was evidence to support it. All I was doing was asking you supply the evidence. As you haven't, and also now state that it might be a coincidence, I'll assume that there is no evidence and your initial assertion was false. I assume that your usual attention to play on words that you have no evidence to the contrary. There is a trend that increase in alcohol prices had no impact on the use of alcohol. There is evidence that in the period that drug deaths significantly increased after MPA was introduced. I offered an opinion on the connection to the two. This forum like all other forms of social media is about providing opinions, unfortunately on all forms of social media there a trolls like you who offer nothing to the debate other than pick up on the use on words and spullin misteaks and granma. Have you not got another bus run to do.
  21. I made up my mind about you a long time ago🤔 You as usual were just being YOU !!.
  22. Minimum pricing on alcohol in Scotland was introduced in 2018 Drug deaths ins 2018 were circa 1050 Drug deaths in 2021 were circa 1350 Thats an increase in and around 28%. It may be a conincidence If you want more evidence look up the NRS !!!
  23. The cost of alcohol in the UK is more expensive that many other European countries and more expensive in Scotland due to the minimum pricing policy. People who have dependency on anything will sacrifice the necessities to get their hit. Minimum pricing on alcohol has done nothing other than line the pockets of Asda, Tesco, Morrisons etc. Another flawed policy There is no coincidence that Scotlands drug deaths increased after the introduction of the minimum pricing on alcohol. the only solution to this problem is Education Education and Education.
  24. Agree with you both that the close location to the glory hunter duo has an impact on attendances. Covid also has also allowed people to step away from the game. However our average attendance last year compared to 19/20 has dropped circa 650 people. Compare this to Motherwell, who have a similar proximity to Glasgow they have only dropped 200. In fact if you look at Motherwell they have since 2017 added an additional circa 1200 to their average attendance. These numbers suggest to me that we have lost our own support and that we are not trying as hard as the likes of Motherwell to increase and retain our core support. Covid and the Old Firm are easy fall backs. We will never be as successful as the ugly sisters however we have to market on what strengths we have.
  25. I have no desire to change your view and for the record your approach is also unlikely to get me to change my view. Most of what you and i post is irrelevant anyway.
