  1. I doubt they are the same person. The Chairman comes across as an intelligent, likeable and articulate person.
  2. Maybe they predicted a pandemic. Or it was to give the club sufficient time to procure the replacement in time for the new season. Forward thinking…………………..no wait.
  3. One question and answer that came up which i found strange was that they tendered the Stewarding as the original term contract had expired. Understandable. 1. They never asked the incumbent company to tender. (At least JN did not know) 2. They awarded the contact to a business that was formed in March that lasted one match and now they are working with a huge organisation that specialises in this type of work. Makes a mockery of the procurement process adopted and almost suggest that it was destined to fail from the beginning. No comments or clarifications on why a company was awarded the project who were obviously not up to the job. Nor who put them on the original tender list and who selected them.
  4. No one has been vetoed yet. As far as we know Suspect that an organisation such as Kibble are just protecting themselves in case a Jimmy Saville or Al Capone type character is appointed to the board. Some people are wrapped up in this veto. Worry is that the Chairman had to be corrected on it at the meeting
  5. He worked for a highly successful business. Royal Bank of Scotland
  6. Bazil what is you obsession with people admitting they were wrong. The first line of your response is a failed acknowledgment of you being wrong in your assumption or paranoia that everyone is Kibble bashing. As a kid was your catchphrase per chance “ I’m going to sue you” It’s my opinion, which I’m entitled to, is that the club is very poorly run. There solution appears to be appoint more management or change suppliers rather than looking that the source of the problem maybe the foundations of the club. Don’t retort by the living in the past stuff.
  7. I mentioned the 1000 mile man (proclaimer twins) on his opinion being valid. You responded to me as to others with a defence of the Kibble. Where have i been Kibble bashing that resulted in your need to defend them. The want for a financially strong St Mirren far outweighs any will I would have to be compensated, many fans will have the same views. That also extends to season tickets and anything else regarding the club. The above statement statement infers that you are willing to accept anything substandard as long as it is touted as being SMFC. Well that’s your opinion and your welcome to it. Me i want SMFC to be a club that people talk about in high regard when they purchase anything whether it be a badge, pie, shirt ticket or a dinner from. More so, a club that engages with their customers. When you fck things up its amazing how engagement goes along way to smoothing out the issues. Not a club that is referred to by some SMFC fans as being run like a bowling club. Any rumours that the Pie Stall is being replaced with a Tuck Shop.
  8. Defending the Kibble and defending SMFC is not the same entity. I think your getting confused. You deflected as to why you continually defend the Kibble even when they are not part of the argument. By chance were you a “Dead & Alive” fan in the 80’s. Or were you too much of a dweeb
  9. Like the others you have bored the tits off me. (As usual) Your response on this thread like many others is defending the Kibble input. At no point in this thread have I mentioned Kibble or critiqued them. Strange that you decide to respond that way. Hmmm i think that tells a story As for business. I gave you more credit than your due and i apologise. Your just a yes man for a social enterprise.
  10. Bazil on the shirt issue you stated (paraphrasing) that people should just accept the substandard shirt warts and all as the money was going to the greater good.. I would say in isolation that you dictated how a fan should act. All fans are allowed their opinion. And more so those opinions should all be heard irrespective to what they are. Not shouted down as moaners, over reaction, trouble makers or whatever narrative you want to spin. A competent CEO/Chairman/GM should be able to take all of the opinion/complaints on board and provide a response to allow the moaners (your words) the chance to change their opinion. Or accept they are correct. Dress it up as you wish but the workings at the club at the moment are a shambles. They are so bad that even JN could not provide comment on half of the stuff last night. (In danger of being a moaner. JN still needs to convince me that he is up to the job) With the club now entering a new phase it scares the living daylights out of me that people like you are possible anywhere near the inner sanctum of the club. Successful businesses and successful people do not accept middle of the road, mediocrity or teething problems. They learn from their mistakes and build on their success. they also don’t shout down the people that are their customer and core means of income. In the real commercial world some of the issues around shirts, tickets, emergency lights, catering, stewards and the training ground works would have result in a number of P45’s. But what do i know your the expert in business
  11. The 1000mile fan is in Baz eyes just a moaner. He has no right to feel aggrieved about the accumulation of these minor changes to club structure. If he was a true fan he should just accept mediocrity, hand over his cash (if they had a place to buy tickets) and be grateful that SMFC is there as another vent for his frustration. As fans we have no right to question the professionalism, commercialism and competence of our club. After all you would think we owned the place.
  12. If it cost me £1.9m then yes.!!! Or i would just blame Tony
  13. I kind of share that opinion. However reading back in threads it is also possible that his paymasters could the the Kibble
  14. I would go further that the role needs someone to take ownership of it. Not starting the role knowing that their paymasters are not the people that are making decisions on. Knowing that your salary depends on your capability in your job is a good motivator. Recipe for disaster. At least when it goes pear shaped the excuse “Well at least we were not paying for them to do the role” can be rolled out
  15. I think you will find that these other representatives only appear for the plaudits. The consensus from the survey I’m sure showed that last night was going to be a shitstorm of a meeting, hence why they went into hiding. JN tag line appears to have been i know nothing, I’m new to the job. Its no my fault. It’s all Tonys fault. Proceeded by we are a better club when we all work together.
  16. As a guess. The reduced capacity likely relates to the lack of valid certification for the emergency escape lighting and the back up generator that was mentioned as a passing issue previously. It brushed over the fact that the club are not maintaining equipment that is in place for the preservation of life. By not answering the question contradicts the purpose of the meeting. why was it missed, who discovered it and what was the cost to fix it. It’s quite clear from your post that like most clubs we are supported by fans who have at times have more knowledge on the issues at hand than the board. They also don’t like to be treated like idiots by asking valid questions.
  17. Your last part is bang on the money. Far too many chiefs not doing anything constructive. Reading the notes surprised that the Chairman on a number of occasions threw Tony under the bus. If Tony is the issue then the board should deal with it. Use Tony on his strengths not as the convenient scapegoat. Do we now have another Master in Chief with a Teflon Suit. Disappointed in JN approach to last nights meeting. He could easily have surmised the questions that were coming and had clear defined answers. If he was unable to answer the questions then why have the PR Stunt. Nothing positive came out of yesterday meeting. Even by GA offering yet another nonproductive PR stunt was recognition that animosity was still high.
  18. Your talent is your paymasters spin doctor. Claiming how wonderful the club were at quickly securing a new sponsor. Yet failing to advise that it was actually one of the Directors who piped up to save face.
  19. Last week you were Joe Beltrami with your knowledge of law this week your Alan Sugar with your knowledge on business no ends to your talent. St Mirren have lost face over the shirt sponsor debacle. They can’t according to you can not afford to write the shirts off and the fans should just buy the shirt as it’s helping the club. It’s easy to get one of the Directors of the Club to sponsor the shirts to save face. We have a Partner in a law firm on the board yet the contract with Skyview was as watertight as Harry Kane’s agreement with Daniel Levy
  20. Knibbles per chance as the new catering company
  21. You take risks based on what you can afford to lose. Sounds like poor judgement or complacency.
  22. It is however the clubs fault for getting in to an agreement with Skyview that allowed them to change it. Also the club commissioned shirts when they did not have a watertight agreement with Skyview
  23. Watch Bazil will be along soon to spin for his paymasters that these are minor frustrations, mitigating circumstances, over reaction, the stars are not properly aligned at the moment, the staff are experiencing the wrong zen at the moment or whatever buzz line he wants to introduce. Something is fundamentally wrong at the club at the moment. Too many core (with financial implications) issues presenting themselves all at the same time. WHY ???
  24. Maybe he is happy living in a life of mediocrity. Aspire for nothing then you can easily achieve your ambition. I notice that the complaints are now being deflected from being an issue of better service and better quality to that of how dare someone ask for compensation. Good to see that Provan understand customer service and are offering incentives that actually say sorry in a manner that your will go back to the shop. You can actually say that Provan are using the shirt debacle to encourage more people in to the shop. Engagement and acceptable of the problem does not necessarily have to cost the club money.
