At this point, what do we still need?
partickman replied to djchapsticks's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
Do you know who are favourites for Stewart’s signature? Someone did mention Partick Thistle were interested but not sure if that was just made up with the Doolan rumour? Would be delighted if he did end up at Firhill -
I honestly don’t know why he was played as a sub as he easily saw off the other strikers - now also working as a coach with the youth academy
-
Doolan is now doing a coaching role in addition to his playing role - he also is due a testimonial next season- I would honestly be surprised if he left
-
Anyone heard any more news regarding Stewart possibly going to Firhill? How would he likely do in the championship? Thanks
-
Worth remembering that we as in Partick Thistle only added 3 players last season when we were relegated- the problem was with the existing players - not the 3 or 4 brought in -who after making top 6 behaved like they were better than they were and had attitude problems - several should have been moved on including Osman who actually did not contribute much to the top 6 season due to recurring injuries. was their anything to the Ross Stewart to the jags rumour or was this just paper talk

St Mirren v Raith Rovers Championship 29/4/17
partickman replied to shull's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Good luck to Buddies legend Tony Connells old team Third Lanark in the penalty shootout at half time. The HiHi and Rossvale were the winners in a competition to take part in a penalty shootout to raise money for their club at St Mirren park at half time in the St Mirren v Raith Rovers game. So good luck to both Third Lanark, Rossvale and of course the Buddies on saturday -

Hi I am sure Simon's family and friends would appreciate this and give them perhaps a little comfort at this very sad time. As many of you will be aware we sadly lost Thistle fan Scott Cant just over a month ago. Scott was 23 and at the 23rd minute of the Partick Thistle v Hibs game all the Thistle fans started clapping, then the Hibs fans all joined in and it was a lovely moment to commemorate one of our own taking at such a tragically young age. It also helped give a small amount of comfort to Scott's friends and family at such a heartbreaking time.

Puts my small moaning about my team being beaten at the weekend into perspective after reading this sad news on the Partick Thistle website. Very sad news and thoughts go to Simon's friends and family and St Mirren fans for losing one of their own. Rip Simon
