  1. http://www.oil-price.net/en/articles/low-oil-price-met-with-american-ingenuity.php Anyone that thinks Saudi is going to kill off the Frackers might have a read at this. Its from last June
  2. And then the small shale outfits start up again and the cycle starts afresh. There's an absolute abundance of oil and gas. The NS is ending. It will bring out out existing wells more than likely as there's no point in not pumping but the price of oil isnt going back up to where it was for many years by the look of it and that pretty much sees the end of our oil sector. Like our coal, there's plenty down there, its good stuff, but its uneconomical to bring it out. A far cry from the oil boom Salmond was peddling a month before the referendum. And while some people were scolded for being "scaremongerers" for pointing out he was talking shite, it looks like those people are owed an apology. Its pretty important that the SG now sets about ridding us of our reliance on the public sector for employment and GDP growth and gets Scotland more entrepreneurial. I'd like to see what their plans are for moving us forward. Its vital they do. If Scotland is to be able to stand on its own two feet then it needs to have a balanced economy. It would be helpful if we had politicians that have actually understood how difficult it is to turn a profit.
  3. I despise nationalism regardless. Its as low as politics can drop generally. But I've simpply pointed out where the SNP government has failed and where it has been hypocritical. When an outfit like the SNP point out how corrupt and bad other politicians are and then select much the same as MPs and MSPs they legitimately open themselves to these accusations. If they want to fling that sort of mud about then they should make sure they are squeaky clean, and they're not. All political parties have arseholes in their midst, I've never been under the impression it wasn't the case. But I don't place my faith in politicians to improve my life prospects. Many SNP sheepies do. Thats sad. For them.
  4. Must be quite a shock for those who rush to defend their political heroes at every opportunity.
  5. There's a St.Mirren fan appearing on Eggheads tonight. Some of you will recognise him no doubt.
  6. Maybe they should expel Anus MacNeil who has two properties owned jointly with his wife as well as his taxpayer funded flat 15 minutes walk from the Palace of Westminster, yet still managed to rack up tens of thousands of pounds worth of hotel expenses. Or are you still under the impression that SNP politicians are "different"? You poor sod. You're being taken for a complete mug.
  7. Maybe you can explain what any of that has to do with me?
  8. You are broadly correct though. I stood as a paper candidate for the council as I didn't actually want a councillor's job but I wanted to make Labour work a safe ward. I still had to go through a full vetting process and I (from memory) went through about 8 different panel interviews as I was grilled by various party officials etc I have no idea what process for selection the SNP have used for some of these utter goons theyve ended up with. I'd doubt very much that is was anywhere near as thorough. You're still going to get dodgy folk appearing regardless, as politics attracts them. I wasn't even a member of the party until I got selected. I was offered a safe seat and declined. I will probably go back to it once I've finished up seeing the kids through school etc. And I'll get a safe seat here no problem. That will have you in tatters hopefully.
  9. I'm not corrupt or a hypocrite like SNP politicians though.
  10. Hendo is a feminist driving (very badly of course) the outrage bus. Lets all watch her trying to reverse park.
  11. Its hard to watch this utter shite unfolding like a slow motion car crash. Sort of justifies a lot of peoples decisions to find something else to do at weekends all the same.
  12. No its not. But I thought you might have liked to see that. Enjoy your windmills in the meantime. Thankfully we will be building more nuclear stations here as its the only reliable carbon free energy. If and when fusion can be viable then we go for it. In the meantime we can all chill until much better scientists than you clearly are make it happen, as we have around a thousand years worth of gas in the UK (at least) So energy security isnt actually any concern at all. Neither is gas about to run out. Or oil. Or coal. But the windmill array youve cheerleaded for in the name of "science" will be gone in a decade and never renewed. Only the concrete plinths will remain. And the access roads up to them. They will maybe become tourist attractions as our grandkids come along to point and laugh at what settled science looked like a couple of generations back.
  13. We have enough gas in the UK right now to last us around a thousand years at present useage. Assuming it can all be got out of course, but even a fraction of that will buy us some time to come up with fusion eventually. Noticed that German scientists had managed to do something last week. http://phys.org/news/2015-12-german-physicists-landmark-nuclear-fusion.html Youve attempted this line before and were wildly wrong.
  14. He did a lot for the game. He will be best known up here though for winding up Scotland fans. Something that's entirely commendable.
  15. "taxing the f**k" out EVERYONE is of course the actual cure for alleged climate change. You don't need to be a top scientist working on a football forum to understand that much. Its folk like this that brought us windmill central and a completely unreliable and expensive method of power generation. Every single POTENTIAL GwH of output which has to be backed up by the likes of gas power stations which are the only ones that can fire up quickly enough to cover the lack of energy being produced when its not windy. Stupidity comes at a price. A price every single one of us is paying. Some willing, convinced they are saving the planet. And others less so, knowing that its f**king bullshit.
  16. Well, that and the fact we've gone 19 years with no warming in spite of CO having increased during that time I'm sure some "adjusted" figures may now be available to prove how thats all a big lie of course. After the climategate stuff I wouldnt trust those cunts to tell me what the weather was doing supposing I happened to be digging my car out a snowdrift
  17. It's a good job we still have that secret oil in the Clyde
  18. £115 a barrel the fat man said. New oil boom ahead the fat man said. 300k for every man woman and child in scotland they told us. And quite a few f**king idiots believed them. And still do. cretins
  19. Swinney signed up for Smith.. It would be most helpful if he could articulate precisely what it is he is worried about. That might help immensely. When he came out after signing he immediately began whining about how he felt let down about not getting FFA. His MPs voted against having the impact of FFA scrutinised by parliament. I wonder why they did THAT? As for the Tories not improving on 15% at a GE, its irrelevant as the Tories are the government because they won most seats in what was a UK wide election. Regional variations don't matter. Its time you acknowledged that Scotland didn't want to separate. Until you come to terms with that hard fact then you're doomed to spend the rest of your life in a rage. The SNP will never be able to form a government. All the have managed to do so far is ensure that foxhunting in England cant be done exactly the same way that its done in Scotland currently. Wow.
  20. You very politically naive if you don't understand any of this. You talk of the "I'm alright Jack" attitude yet the yes campaign was entirely based around the lie that we were all going to be better off. The reason for this is that they had done their research and they knew that there was a considerable portion of the electorate who would be swung to yes if they would be a few hundred pounds better off. So it wasn't actually confined to "my compadres on this site". I accept that there is a small portion of the Scottish electorate that would happily live in a cave as long as they could have a saltire on a stuck flying outside it, just as there are folk on the other side that wouldn't consider splitting up the UK even if they happened to be financially better off. Neither of those types were considered in any of the strategy. But its not an issue anyway as there isn't going to be another vote on this in either of our lifetimes. If you seriously think the UK government are not happy with the status quo then you're even more politically naive than I thought.
  21. Nationalism isn't pretty is it?
  22. Its absolutely over. The tories will never give another one no matter what happens. And all you'll get is a Quebec style series of hoops to jump through just like the Quebecois now have. And their nationalism has died a death just like Scotlands will. You don't need a crystal ball to know that this was it as far as Scottish independence is concerned. The SNP dont want it anymore. The UK will never serve up another referendum either. Just enjoy playing about in Holyrood for a while, its fun until the tax bills start arriving. Assuming Swinneys bottle doesnt crash and he rejects further devolution. Either way, the Tories are perfectly happy to have the SNP mucking around in Scotland and making sure that the left is so fractured that it can never govern in the UK again. Well played.
