  1. To put that in context, poz, it was in response to BT's claim that Scotland wouldn't get BBC programmes like Eastenders if we voted Yes. Just like Ireland or Belgium don't.
  2. I'd start with BP if LS's post is factually correct......damn sight easier than the Atlantic's going to be.
  3. The truth is out there......and so are those two, apparently!
  4. Or Royal Dutch Shell, or Total, or Exxon......makes no odds, poz, it's still Scottish tax income/revenue is the point. Fekkin autocorrect.....
  5. For clarity, that was a reply to bluto - "natsi" (© St Sid) is the term used.
  6. The other resident loony (Maxi) has been free in his use of it. But you'll have him on ignore. Oddly enough, one of the autocorrect choices I get when I type "Maxi" is "Nazi."
  7. Scotland leaving could be the wake up call rUK needs to address those issues, bluto. I'll agree to disagree with you on what's best for Scotland but, as someone said somewhere else (could've been me), it's ironic that many of the same people telling us of the benefits of Union are the same people telling us that the EU's no good. Not that I'm saying that's you, of course.
  8. Agreed, Rick, but I disagree with your assertion that they're a significant number. More minutiae, it's static around the real issues, just like Rangers supporters moving to Wales is.
  9. I don't know any personally, I know lots of Yes voters and I don't have my head in the sand on this issue, or any other, issue for that matter. Most of us have English family and friends - I certainly do - why would I hate them just for that? I have Scottish family and friends who'll vote No and I don't even hate them.....the traitorous fekkers!
  10. The reasons for voting Naw are still there!
  11. Ignoring his claims about the previous undecidedness, the points he makes are still valid. Stop getting caught in the minutiae!
  12. I don't personally know a single Yes voter "driven by hatred of the English" Rick, and I'm sure you don't , either. I know of a few sad twats online, but I don't think the number is significant. Or any more significant than the number of No voters who'll move to Wales if there's a Yes vote (you have seen that video, haven't you?). You really need to be careful labelling people like that, you might find yourself being labelled too.
  13. Sorry, double post trying to fix the autocorrect.
  14. Nutty? And "the common man" in the title implies you'll get some sweary bits. Notwithstanding, it's the argument I've been making for long enough now - the culture here is different to that espoused by Westminster. I know that there are many parts of England with similar views but we in Scotland have the means to do something about it, they don't. Edited for autocorrect.
  15. http://politicoid.wordpress.com/2014/01/22/scottish-independence-for-the-common-man/ ^^^^^^This^^^^^
  16. The BT people tried to spread that message to makev people think that a Yes vote meant Clyde shipyard closures. It was debunked fairly quickly but strangely the debunking didn't get quite the same headlines. MoD work is already abroad is the debunking.
  17. Once again, "both" is the missing option.
  18. They're not mutually exclusive, you know, "both" is another option.
  19. Not arguing with your comments, z_a, but my understanding is that we'd still be part of the UK for over a year between a Yes vote and "Independence Day." Doesn't this mean that we'd be negotiating to amend existing conditions, not seeking entry as a newbie? I'd guess those proposed amendments could be blocked just as easily, but it strikes me that it's a stronger position to negotiate from.
  20. Cheers boyo, looks good but given div's job I took his advice, ran Malwarebytes and it's fixed the problem - I'd picked up Outobox with some software I'd downloaded. I was so impressed that I downloaded the mobile version too and I'll use it on my phone. Like ts, I've got F-Secure which is free for a year as a replacement for the old Virgin security and then has to be paid for. Given that it wasn't picking up malware I doubt I'll be investing in it when the time comes....
  21. So they can make the posts redundant and transfer the work to Bangalore. Pay attention!
  22. I switched to that, too, ts, and I'm getting pop-ups I can't get rid of on Chrome & IE. Need to give this a whirl.
