TC was the coach for two years prior to being promoted to manager with a huge input on the players that were signed during that time. In fact his contacts at Newcastle were seen as a strength in us getting players under his previous experience there. He had a whole summer and pre season with his team. Contrast that with JR.

We've based our opinions on what we're watching. Ross could well work out to be a disaster however he's gutted the place and put his own players in place. Once I see how his team performs then I'll decide on how good or bad he is. However at least we now have a midfield with a good few options. Prior to January we had very few options in midfield and were forced to play unfit Quinn week in week out for max 60 minutes. I'm surprised that TC doesn't like Ross after him bringing in players to oust Langfield, Shankland and Irvine. It would appear that Ross agrees with him that they needed replacing. We need to see if the changes work out.

Yes I understand what you're saying and I was equally frustrated at half time. However not all of it was down to the formation some of it was down to the players attitude and levels of performance. An example being the Mallan free kick in the first half and the lay off from Loy to Mallan who put the ball over the stand from just outside the box. The change in formation didn't make Mallan take better free kicks for example. Some of what was happening was down to the players attitude, confidence and belief.

Not sure you can use this as a comparison. This is a completely new team that hasn't played many league games.

So let me see if I've got this right. If we win 4-1 next week after being 1-0 down at half time the manager will be to blame for not winning by more goals? How many thought prior to the game we would win by such a margin despite missing a penalty?

The bottom line is we need to go on a winning streak. Are we good enough? Well we're about to find out. I'm hopeful that we can turn this around but at the same time prepared for the worst. Should JR be sacked? It's far too early to judge, performances and results between now and the end of the season will dictate that. However GLS has made it clear that Jack's job is safe. For that reason I believe Jack will be here next season come what may.

Looks like the winner will get Dundee Utd who are 3 up at half time. This should ensure a big crowd and a few bob if we reach the final. This is an important game make no mistake.
