Yeah. I just thought from the catch from Jim about some players being annoyed at the lack of game time, he might have been one of them. Considering he has not featured starting as much this season, due to the system that didn't work, but he formed park of the good defence from last season. He filled in well that game as part of the back 3 as well, considering not his strongest position. Very good utility player when not made to do the full wing on his own too. I'm a bit gutted we held on to Main and Erwin. Erwin doesn't feature at all. Id have thought we flashes here and there would have helped get him punted in this window to show lower league levels what he could do for them. Main is frustrating. I get why Jim got him in. To bully and pest the defence. That can create space for others, but didn't. Did the Killie fans not say that Power was more a number 8 than a 6. Saying that he needed someone next to him doing the defensive mid role? Could be interesting, but like others, he doesn't help the pace we miss. Would this be due to Ethan being inconsistent at times? Power is out of contract in summer as well? Fair enough. Sadly if he went this window I feel just cash at this late stage would not give us enough time to get in the quality we would need. I read this morning that Hibs are not interested anymore. Allan can pass the ball about and might be the creativity we need, just not the turn of pace that we need. Well think about Connolly last season for us. Not always starting, but came on and would make teams keep in check as he had a good turn of pace. If the Aberdeen thing is alive for McGrath again. I suggested Kennedy or McLennan as both have pace, which we have needed since Durmas and Connolly left. They issue we will have is they won't use a 1st team player in a trade would they?! Or though I like Ethan and Power, I feel when they sit deep at times they can break up play, but both at times stray passes and be inconsistent with it. If McGrath doesn't go then, then if he plays like he did against Aberdeen for the rest of the season, I would be happy with that. I wish we could punt Main, Dennis and Erwin. When they have had the chance, they have under performed. I think Tait is a good back up to the back 4, as played well there last season. Flynn is done at this level I feel and would be good to get a player coach role somewhere else or some club getting him towards his badges. McAllister I feel in the new formation could feature. The times last season coming in the no10 role he did well for spells. If Kiltie keeps going well there, he could come on when he is done in. Me too as Dorman was a great find. At the time as well a link up would have been good as MLS was really a league where people went to retire and cash in a bit. It wasn't as well respected. Now the money in it players are going to it earlier in their careers. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk

Is this because the professional strikers we seem to bring in seem to be shite at taking a man on and scoring, so we are looking to see if we can get this from amateurs? 100% right. I get it initially he thought with using the full budget at the start to get "quality" players in he thought the initial squad would change for top 6. I thought last season we changed shape depending on the opponent. Defensively we were alright and just needed to look at attack options. He has made us 1 dimensional with this system, which teams have found us out. We also used to play it on the Deck more and out from the back last season, but not this season. Formation has changed, but at the back the only new player is Dunne. Surely we could still play out from the back as it worked before? With using all his budget early on It has now left us hanging as we need people to leave to free up any cash. The fringe players have no stage to show any potential teams what they could do for them too. Erwin we need to leave to get someone in, but no f**ker sees what he can do. Only see at the warm up at most?! How are you supposed to get rid of that? Got to say defence signings have been good. Jim can spot a good player there. Say same to an extent with midfield with Jamie and Ronan... But apart from Brophy his strikers have been sub par at best. I keep doing this and ramble, but it's frustrating. I like Goodwin. I think the 3 at the back could work and can at times, but also need plan B, which we don't have and we need pace, creativity and goals. Or maybe if had creativity then that would lead to goals.
