Ball Boy (2/14)

  1. OK in the 6 yard box, it was still the best effort of the 1st half.
  2. Aye so you were! Sounds like more negativety was being spouted!
  3. Apparently you are talking shit yet again, the guy seems a bit too greedy, but that is probably down to the fact that he is keen to make an impression. On Saturday his 1st half effort that was cleared off the line was the nearest we came to scoring in the 1st 45mins. The guy just needs game time to get his fitness levels up and to adapt to the Scottish game. What he doesn't need is guys like you with your tired, same boring old rantings of abuse and speculation.
  4. The same Paul Hartley that St. Mirren have hated for years, and a guy with no top flight management experience. How long before he would be verbally abused and despised on this forum if he went a further 4 or 5 games into this season without a win?
  5. What chance is there that a new manager could get better results? Considering the outlay to sack Danny and then pay compensation to another club for their management team, or you go for the cheaper option, a manager who has been sacked by another club because he has been deemed to be shite by his former club or by his former club's fans? The outlay to sack Danny may also severly diminish our chances of adding to our squad come the next transfer window, and if our own support do walking away when things go wrong this will only financially punish the club and a new managers chance of getting new players in if Danny is sacked.
  6. Another few weeks will not be too late. Killie who are a point above us are not exactly playing well either under a new manager!
  7. I for one will continue to support our team. The team needs supporting through this bad spell, not fair weather supporters who do walking away and just abuse the team during the 90 mins of a match, like the knob end in W1 with the black base ball cap on who shouted abuse for most of the match. When we scored the opening goal against Thistle I turned round and looked up to where that guy was sitting and noticed he was just sitting there with his face tripping him (what kind of fan is he). It does feel as if history is repeating itself a bit where in 87 we win the cup and then the following season after a poor run of results and elimination from the Scottish Cup we sacked Alex Smith. Did things really improve after that? That season we finished 9th out of 12.The following season we finished 7th out of 10, then 9th out of 10. The following season league reconstruction saved us as we finished 10th out of 10 then we finished 11th out of 12 in season 91/92 and thus were relegated after sacking Smith. Sacking Danny will not gaurantee a change in league form.

    Crome?

    wrong forum - oops.
  9. Hmm! Think there is a bit of a whiff about the air!
  10. If Mair was to get injured we would be left with no experienced CD to marshall the defence. Everyone has to remember McGregor is still learning his trade in the SPL, McAusland has not played that many games in CD for us, and i can't remember Barron ever playing in CD for us so he would be very unexperienced in this role. We need another experienced CD to guide and marshall the defence. He has to be someone who will teach guys like McGregor and McAusland through games, passing on his experience. This would be missing if Mair was injured. You can't rely on having a squad that won't get injured or pick up suspensions. We will have to have a versatile squad with some experienced players in key positions.
  11. My sentiments exactly. As you say i believe we should get a big towering central defender who will cut out alot of cross balls and will be a key figure at defending corners and up at the other end when we have corners. Would also like the defender to have better distribution of the ball compared to Potter which i feel is a real weakness in Potter's game (too many aimless punts).
  12. I remember watching Hogg whilst playing for Hibs against Hearts on ESPN and he was rank that day and was blamed by the commentary team for one of the goals, it was not surprising that not long after, Hibs offloaded him to Caley. As for Nish is that the same guy who got continually booed by his own Hibs fans because he is gash!
  13. I suppose it all hinges on whether or not Jim Patterson signs as he seems to be our top target for left back. I too have read some Accies comments made about Buchanan and they do seem to rate him quite highly.
  14. Perhaps you should go onto P&B with that quote and put it to Hibs fans! I think the response would be pretty obvious! Duffy was a promising player at Falkirk but has lost his way through injury and would be a massive gamble which could be a load of money down the drain , not worth the gamble.
  15. Don't think so! Barrowman was shit when he had his chance in the SPL and got sent packing back to Ross County. Some players have a level and his is 1st Div.
