  1. Does Les still take in Saints games I have not seen him for years ? Need to have a beer with you sometime before a game. NS, His name is Gary and was from Foxbar. He lost his sight during the Indicipline days. Can you imagin going blind in your teens after having good eye sight. It was due to some cream he was putting on his face. The Drummer from Def Leaperd sent Gary a letter to stick with the drums which he did. Came back better than ever
  2. Did you ever go to the Silver Thread on Monday nights ? Also the back hall at Friershall on a Sunday night. I used to do the indi music there for years and then at the weekends it was funk at Chaplins. In the 80's my mate Stewart Jack had a band called "Premature Burial" They used to play places like Night Moves in Glasgow and got support slots with Hawkwind and the early days of the Clash. The band took a full double decker bus to largs from Paisley when they did a gig in Largs... The Clash wanted them to join them down in London. Stewart Jack is one of the best lead guitarists I have ever heard. He used to use all sorts of pedal effects to his guitar. Years later Stewart formed a band called Cloud 9 and out of 8 thousand tapes submitted to the Jackie Brambles show in radio one Cloud 9 were only one of five bands picked to go into a studio. In band fighting put an end to any deals being made by AR guys. Some guy Stewart , sadly he passed away just before Christmas with throat cancer at the age of 42.. He loved his hot pipe too much.
  3. Doobie Brother's....What Were Once Vices Soul Rock and funk carefully rolled together for a foot tapping finger snapping enjoyable listen
  4. Just press the shuffle button on the iPod and your ears are met with all sorts of surprises from your collection. Rock On
  5. Actually he was born and lives in Gothenburg Sweden and is the son of Argentinean parents. Dinner parties are a source of good conversations and this album wont stop that, conversations at the dinner party that is.
  6. unfortunately i'm out of town The wife and daughter bought me my first mp3 player a iPod for Christmas. Excellent what a peace of kit. I have 96 albums on it and still have 23gb space left. I have a very large music collection so I will be able to put on hundreds of my Cd's and carry them around in my pocket ? Technology it's some times mind blowing. I bought Sennheiser headphones for the iPod that have a small box attached the wire of the headphone. When you switch the box on you get outside noise cancel which means you get undisturbed music into your ears. This is great for me when I am on the ship with all the back ground noise. What a sound. At home I run a pre amp and two power amps for my Cd , well the iPod sounds every bit as good if not better. I'm well chuffed
  7. Nazareth......... Walked into Asda and the best Of Nazareth was selling for £4.97. It's a double album ( Cd ) containing 38 tracks taken from 20 of there released albums. Not one bad track, wow what a rock band and they are Scottish !

  11. Editors… What a debut album a real cracker. One listen and I had to go on to Ebay and get tickets for their sold out gig at the Barowlands in March. This band are going to be massive. Was at the Carling Academy the other night to see the Proclaimers. What a great night it was and it was nice to see Zac Ware who is now their guitarist and used to be in my mates band. Now he gets to do his love full time and tour the world doing it
  12. Sebastien Tellien...Politics. The name of the album sounds oh so boring however it is anything but from Sabastien who writes music for many a film
  13. One of my fav bands. They come to the uk every year and only play about 4 gigs one of which is the QMU in Glasgow. Great live band, I would recommend the DVD “I am trying to break your heart†By Wilco. It’s very powerful documentary of the making of “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot “album where the band sack one of the members then the record company drop them. If I knew who you were Bud The Baker I would be quite happy to let you borrow it.
  14. 2 This is a great Beer in fact Im looking into starting up an import company on some Polish products Zywiec beer being one of the products, however Chopin vodka being the main item I would like to start distributing in the Uk. There is a pub in Merchant City where you can get Zywiec beer. It’s across the road from the City Merchant restaurant ,sorry can't remember the name of the pub.
