  1. Its red and white painted timbers. This suggests some kind of Domestic Architecture in a sort of 1930's mock tudor. However I also think there might be something like this on Glasgow road.

  4. Nope don't know this one. My first thought was Russell institute but I thought we already had that one. The hints above suggested the statute of a man who went on to found a famous chain of pubs and restaurants. But I doubt whiter I'm going to be spoon fed on this one,
  5. Sir Peter Coats was a well know mill owner and the house was so that he could stay incomfort while he attended to his buisness (the stuff about mistresses is purely speculation)
  6. House belonged to Sir Peter Coats and was his "Town House" which I expect means this is where he kept his mistress
  7. No sorry I meant the Back Sneddon area The street name is the same as our first big rivals and the church is a very fine one indeed that will feature here I am quite sure. Another Abercrobie building built in a Perpendicular Gothic Revival style.

  11. Just in from the Avengers movies. The wife took me for my birthday. A bit long and full of fuzzy blurry action, One moment of classic comedy. All in all not bad if you like that sort of thing.
