  1. What more info do you require Richard ? Have your read the leaflets/ info on website ? Have you tried emailing SMISA I'm sure they'll be happy to answer your questions .
  2. I couldn't care less what he does In his spare time as long he is doing a good job at St Mirren what does it matter ? We knew when Alex took the job that he was a big Rangers man but he has done a superb job with us so far! There are far more pressing concerns at the moment to focus on currently such as the future of our club.....
  3. Wee bud , I believe initial loan is to pay back the approx 380k needed to purchase the club , purchase price just under 1 million with the other 600k coming from Gordon ) once this is paid back we can then start to pay back Gordon and gradually increase our shareholding of the club .
  4. I believe the current State of play is ... Once SMISA and Gordon pay the 100k (I believe 80k from Gordon and 20k for SMISA ) deposit to the board that will give them complete "exclusivity" therefore not allowing anyone else to bid , unfortunately they cannot do that until we have reached our target sign ups , so until then the club is still very much up for sale to anybody who wants to bid !
  5. All you have to do is Google his company name and you will see it was sold for actually 2.8 million http://www.scotsman.com/business/laidlaw-scott-owner-mears-revenue-and-profits-rise-1-1029059 Life is full of ifs and buts but one thing is for sure we won't get the chance to own our club again under these circumstances , so we need to grasp it with both hands !
  6. Doubt it . He sold his business for around 2.6 million so I'm sure he's more than comfortable
  7. 1000 members is a big over estimation ( on purpose ) to account for such things as cancellations etc With regards to your first point that could happen to anybody, hence why we all have life insurance , wills , maybe st Mirren is in Gordon's will ? :-)
  8. GLS wanted to the buy the club when it went up for sale initially and this was rejected by the board presuming due to petty disagreements , which it looks like now they have overcame. I was very impressed with Gordon and he comes across very well on the and seems on the same wave length as the fans . This is a very well thought out and planned bid , George confirmed that this has taken months and months of negotiations with the board every Monday night so there has been so much hard work put in now it's the fans job to make it happen !
  9. They mentioned a figure of around 9.7 million
  10. From SMISAWe expect that a condition of the loan will be that the lender has security over the stadium, which Gordon is willing to grant on our behalf. We have been advised there is no reason to be concerned by this - in a sense it’s a bit like getting a mortgage and granting security over your house. You wouldn’t take out a loan you weren’t comfortable paying back, and neither will we. Also, if the lender has security over the stadium, it means nobody else could borrow against it or make a claim on it. So in theory The Lender might take a Floating Charge Over the stadium at very low risk as its a very small loan to value, but that actually prohibits Gordon from raising any money on the stadium so safeguards it in future

  12. George and Gordon explained that they are negotiating with several loan providers and they hope to announce soon the details of that and they had no concerns with the stadium being used as a security on that . I think the other big thing to remember is that the selling price is far lower than that under 10000 hours (under 1 million) which I think is a really good deal , it really is now or never !
  13. Ps Douglas McNeil has offered Gordon an interview on sportsound so hopefully he can go on soon and give people the actual FACTS behind the bid
  14. No coincidence that after chic youngs embarrassing ramblings last night that our memberships increased I don't want that guy anywhere near our club so the thought of him being involved in a rival bid should only help our cause !
  15. Gordon addressed the cash flow issue at the meeting and 1k members would be over estimating what we need , the club as it's currently run has good cash flow but they were keen to point out that lots of things can be done to increase revenue and cash flow for the club. Also are you aware that your first direct debit wouldn't come out until July so it does not get deducted immediately?
  16. Gordon said at the meeting he would like the deal to go through by end of May , so quite a quick timescale , hopefully with the increased media coverage things can really take off , I'd be really disappointed if we couldn't get at least 1000
  17. Apparently chick young questions that it will work ! hopefully someone can phone in and give him the facts so he's not giving misinformation as usual
  18. Some good exposure today hopefully we can see a knock on effect in the numbers signing up :-) http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/ill-put-saints-back-top-7781814#ICID=sharebar_twitter
  19. Id be gutted if he was lining up against us next season , strange one as on paper you would think Alex Rae would want someone such as Goodwin as the spine of his team , I think we could get another 1 or 2 seasons out of him easy
  20. Good point ! maybe see some coverage this week then .....
  21. I've already signed up and was at the meeting on Saturday , very impressed by both George and Gordon's vision for the club , Gordon would be a breath of fresh air and the website is great ! but a little bit disappointed in the initial sign ups ... we really need to promote this to a wider St Mirren fan base ... perhaps get a story in the local and national press and some TV coverage ? When the hearts bid launched it was all over the media ( I know different circumstances ) We really need to try and get this over the line ASAP or at least over the 400 mark to show the board that this is a feasible option
  22. Well before you make your mind up why don't you come along and hear what they have to say and try and address the concerns you have ....
