Liverpool Bud Posted April 6, 2006 Report Share Posted April 6, 2006 (edited) ever been lucky enough to be on a guest list - own a laminate pass - or simply blag a free ticket for a concert? 1 Sept 86 - Runrig - stirling Town Hall - dad worked for stv - who were filming it 2 March 89 - 2nd yr at uni - dated a girl whose cousin was in a band who were playing the wee lounge at liverpool polytechnic - his name was john squire and his band the stone roses went on to become quite big 3 Various 91 - 94 Del Amitri - by some quirk of fate - befriend a bloke called dave who was guitarist for the dels ..........many a drunken nite .......great laugh in liverpool hippodrome - except justin currie was the great big - dont you know who i am gimp! 4 June 96 Manic Street preachers - pal from uni grew up in the same shit hole welsh mining village as them - just used to turn up at stage door of various gig venues across the north west and say ..........tell nicky "tappa's " here.......then procedeed to drink free red stripe and play heady tennis after sound checks!! 5 99- 2006 Belle and sebastian - perk of having a drummer cousin! Jack Bruce (Cream) - Jammed with him in the Highlands 4. Wham - got kicked out their video shoot in London for shagging on camera (not with either member of Wham I hasten to add) 5.
