Took time before posting as I wasn't sure in real time of the validity of the penalty claim. Having seen it on TV I can see the argument from both sides. Micro analysing these instances on TV is a bit ridiculous but the long and short of it is that it is inconclusive which means the referee did not make a clear and obvious mistake. IF it had been given, I don't think VAR would have overruled it. At the end of the day I think we did enough to earn the point and, to my mind, it would have been very harsh for us to lose  the game. Especially in such a cruel manner.

Shameful posting something of this magnitude before knowing for certain it was true.  Anyhow, don't want to drag this thread into the gutter, enough about those concerned.
