He also accepted that both the Stage 1 and Stage 2 applications related specifically to Ferguslie. On the point that the Stage 2 RCGF application stated that “Sale of land has been agreed” that referred to Renfrewshire Council’s willingness to transfer the ownership of derelict land, once identified. The words reflected an expectation that there had been an informal understanding with the council regarding transfer of land ownership once specific allocations had been determined. Mr Gillespie accepted that the Stage 2 application was wrong in a number of respects, including by stating that the sale of land had been agreed and that an application for planning permission would be submitted by December 2022 (within 2 months of the Stage 2 application being submitted) despite the fact that planning permission would require land to be identified and despite the evidence of the pursuers that no such land had been identified.
    • That's a thoughtful reflection. It really does highlight how much dating culture has changed across generations. While it's true that strong family units can provide a good foundation, life doesn’t always follow one pattern — people adapt, grow, and find connection in different ways. It’s nice to see that even across generations, people are still open to love and companionship, just using modern tools to find it
