  1. Lennon was desperate to find a place in the side for one of his useless summer signings, Harkins. He decided to drop arguably our best player, John McGinn, to force Harkins into the side. In essence he sacrificed what was best for the club in order to try and vindicate his hopeless summer transfer dealings. He has to go now.
  2. Dropping John McGinn for Harkins shows how clueless Lennon & Craig really are.
  3. Large numbers of football fans are stupid. Some are very stupid. A good gauge of the very stupid is by reading the posts of the Garry Kenneth critics on this thread...
  4. Enough about your posts. Do you actually have an opinion on the summer transfer window or is abuse and smillies all you can manage?
  5. I love it when folk post that line! The sort of folk who post this line are probably the sort most in need of taking their own advice!
  6. After nearly 4 years in charge you would think some of his regulars would be his signings! This thread is about the last transfer window. Do keep up.
  7. Whereas Danny doesn't want to start his own signings at any opportunity.
  8. Does someone have to die before a football signing can be criticised? What a bizarre post.
  9. Any news on Derek Riordan's arrival? faraway will be disappointed if we don't get him to replace McGowan.
  10. Indeed, better than that. The marathon in 2008 where my training was messed up with stitches, I had to stop for a Paula Radcliffe dump at mile 20 behind a bush. Completely watery it was. Had to wipe my erse with leaves from a tree. My hand was covered in it. I had stupidly gone for a Chinese in a restaurant I'd never been in the night before and blamed it on that. Never change your pre race routine and here's me going for a dodgy Chinese and a couple of pints. That dehydrated me and along with my lack of fitness, meant the last 2 miles were horrible. Was reduced to walking in mile 25. Went from running 7 min miles to 12/13 min miles in the last 2 miles! Had to shake folks hands with my left hand at the end and a couple of folk were curious as to how they'd finished ahead of me despite not remembering passing me by...
  11. Sounds similar to a story about a guy I used to train with. He was aiming for sub 2.45 at London and stupidly took an energy drink around the 18 mile mark that wasn't in the plan. Had to stop a couple of miles later and threw up all over a spectator who tried to help him...
  12. I was getting stitches in warm weather. Running in cold weather wasn't an issue for me and that's even though I have asthma. A certain combination of the time before I ran and how fast I ran was my issue. If I got up early in the morning and did 15 miles in the freezing cold at sub 7 min mile pace without having eaten since the night before, I would not get a stitch. If I did the same thing in warm weather but having eaten a couple of hours beforehand, I'd end up with a stitch. I also got a stitch at the end of a 10k race where the pace was obviously faster. Science doesn't know what causes a stitch but another theory is that its food in your stomach pulling at some internal organs. For me, that may have been the cause. Maybe there are different causes for different people?
  13. With Derek Riordan replacing Paul McGowan, I wonder how faraway also sees Campbell fitting into the side?
  14. To summarise, faraway thinks that a player he's never seen in action would be a great foil up front in a side he's seen once this season? Almost as good as highlighting a game where Danny Lennon was manager to slaughter the tactics of Gus Macpherson! Indeed, as the goal in the game he highlighted came from a free kick we conceded after failing to clear our lines, he actually highlighted a goal that wouldn't have resulted had we used the tactics he didn't want us to use! Now you *really* couldn't make that up! What a fool!
  15. The simple fact is that Aberdeen and Dundee United have better players than us. Particularly Dundee United. Setting out to go to Tannadice with more attackers is suicide. We need to keep the midfield packed, avoid passing the ball in our own half or in midfield, get the ball forward as quickly and often as possible and get men forward at that point to put pressure on United. Putting Harkins in for McGinn would be a joke.
  16. And Danny Lennon was the manager. You really couldn't make it up! faraway fucks up yet again! The "tactic" I advocate is getting the ball into the attacking third, getting players forward and trying to win the ball in dangerous positions. The tactic that has ICT 2nd in the league on a limited budget. Simply booting the ball up the pitch and keeping everyone back is not a tactic I advocate.
  17. er, well yes. Indeed, its the same principle. The fact is that the vast majority of goals come from regains of possession in the attacking third. What better way to put the opposition under pressure than to put the ball into the attacking third, get men forward and force the opposition to throw the ball to a player facing his own goal with attackers at his back.
  18. Of course you saw looks of utter bewilderment. Most football fans are incredibly stupid. That kick off is a fantastic tactic.
  19. Deary me. More doom and gloom. More undermining of the team. Undermining of the forwards and the manager's tactics. Undermining of Steven Thompson. And this from the guy who wants to replace Paul McGowan with Derek Riordan. If you can't be balanced and all you can do is be negative then its time you stayed away from the forum. Boo boy.
  20. No you didn't. All you said was that are not close to being a top 6 side. One game and you are all doom and gloom and straight in there undermining the manager and the team.
  21. Totally agree. There is no basis for your doom and gloom about us not being close to a top 6 side.
  22. faraway undermining the manager and the squad yet again.
  23. Yeh, is the millions of attitude that saw Manchester City & Chelsea become forces in English football.
