  1. You make a good point about a Bowling Club. If the 1877 club allowed anyone in and just asked for a donation each time a non member visits I'm sure people would dig deep. Once people visit for the first time I'm sure they would come time and time again without any issues of paying a donation.
  2. I agree with you Stuart that presently it would be a financial disaster for Scotland to be independent but the Tory party at Westminster are making some people want to be independent at whatever cost to Scotland.
  3. I bought the first 3 for a tenner a few years ago going on holiday and have read them all since. Some are better than others obviously. First film was a bit so so but the Mrs has offered to take me this weekend as it's my birthday......Tesco before for sweets and juice as it's a rip off for grub at the pictures.
  4. Have you read the rest of his books Shull? Jack Reacher : 6 foot 4 inches of pure muscle and a hard bugger. Who plays him in the films: Tom Cruise???
  5. I'm reading Stephen Leather's "Dark Forces" at present, a Spider Shepherd book. Once that's finished I will re-read the Lee Child (Jack Reacher) book that's out this week at the cinema.
  6. Dibble - word for word what I was going to say.
  7. If we are out of the single market then it's a disaster for companies who deal with Europe as the tariffs will strangle their profit margins. Cameron and Farage have a lot to answer to - Oh they can't, they've buggered off and left it to others to sort out.
  8. I thought if you were signed in as a guest it was free. But if you applied without being signed in it was £3. Or was the last match a one off? I'm going to be early tomorrow and have the car but I'm not paying to get in then shell out for a coffee and a couple of pies.
  9. The skill requirements I would suggest are there for guideline purposes only. If SMISA & GLS started cherry picking who THEY wanted and not who had the most votes, then it would be a long time before the loan was paid back as I'm sure most people wouldn't pay their money every month to a dictatorship. I'm pretty sure the person with the most votes will be elected as the SMISA Board Member. I for one hope it's David Nicol.
  10. If the SMISA vote comes down in favour of an absolute roaster and GLS doesn't like the person - Can the the board veto the SMISA vote and not allow him/her onto the board?
  11. I voted No last time and always thought I would vote No. But the PM seems to be doing her best to piss the Scots off and you need to ask yourself if the Tory government actually want Scotland to stay in the U.K. On the flip side - I spoke to a couple of Yes supporters and they said they couldn't give a toss about the state of the Scottish Economy- They just wanted Independence at any cost. Certainly a decisive topic at present.
  12. Games can't be a Saturday as these games are usually used for the first team subs that either didn't get on or get a lot of game time at the first team match.
  13. Correct. That's why it was so noticeable for the winner at Easter Road.
  14. Communication is key - let's hope it keeps up. Makes fans feel closer to their club.
  15. Well said Shull. If they have to be midweek then have them at 7:30 pm.
  16. Did anyone hear the sole singer on Saturday at Easter Rd singing the brilliant lines of ......I wish I was a jobby, then I could be steaming every day.
  17. Today is World Mental Health Day. Take time to ask even just one person if they are ok and need a chat. You never know, you might be helping one person open up and start someone on their road to recovery. Blokes are a nightmare at opening up and discussing "feelings".
  18. Reading the rules and regulations all potential candidates will have to give their credentials and appear at meetings prior to the vote. This is a good idea IMO.
  19. Although someone who can raise 5 figures in sponsorship for the club should be in the running in my opinion too.
