  1. From Hibs/Aberdeen down there's not a lot between the teams - more often than not it comes down to the first goal. Moving off-topic I'd say we should spend less time focussing on the ability of our players and get an artificial pitch laid for next season...
  2. That's a classic scene and if you were as educated as @oaksoft you'd realize why Lear's descent into madness post-retirement made it appropriate...
  3. As I say you have no real concern over either issue other than to prove how clever you are so rave away..... I believe this is one one those instances where the bard got it correct... Spoken by Lear, King Lear, Act 3, Scene 2 Blow, winds, and crack your cheeks! rage! blow! You cataracts and hurricanoes, spout Till you have drench’d our steeples, drown’d the cocks! You sulph’rous and thought-executing fires, Vaunt-couriers to oak-cleaving thunderbolts, Singe my white head! And thou, all-shaking thunder, Strike flat the thick rotundity o’ th’ world, Crack Nature’s moulds, all germains spill at once, That makes ingrateful man! Rumble thy bellyful! Spit, fire! spout, rain! Nor rain, wind, thunder, fire are my daughters. I tax not you, you elements, with unkindness. I never gave you kingdom, call’d you children, You owe me no subscription. Then let fall Your horrible pleasure. Here I stand your slave, A poor, infirm, weak, and despis’d old man. But yet I call you servile ministers, That will with two pernicious daughters join Your high-engender’d battles ‘gainst a head So old and white as this! O! O! ’tis foul!
  4. @oaksoft You're right to an extent on this one there is a fair degree of schadenfreude but as the article states the bile originated from Sammy Johnson so I can live with that. It doesn't change the facts that the DUP took £1Billion to support Brexit & the Tories under Theresa May before getting shafted by Boris "there'll be no red tape in NI trade post Brexit" Johnson, I don't suppose anyone is starving yet but don't let that stop you exaggerating events to get your right wing fakery across - from this and past posts it's clear you've no sympathy about what might happen to the people of NI. You're wrong on planned attack on workers rights, this is a government where 2 out of the senior 4 ministers published a pamphlet Britannia Unchained attacking workers right before they were in office. Now they are in charge they're putting these ideas into practice - as a wealthy retiree it won't affect you but I can see where you're coming from. ******************* Delving back into the dim & distant past that was 2018 and tying the two topics (NI & Workers Rights) together I seem to remember Priti Patel saying we should "starve the Irish" them in the South that is to make them more amenable to our Brexit demands, no doubt she'll lose no sleep if the same happens to the ordinary workers in the UK that she despises.
  5. Long term I'd be surprised if Quaner is here to sit on the bench while Erwin plays...
  6. .....well that's stats 4ya, guess we just rate them differently.
  7. Rest for Erhahon - prob'ly the right move. Obika & Quaner must not be 100% fit for Erwin to be starting
  8. Just sayin' - it's mainstream opinion in the Land of the Rising Sun where it's supported by 80% of the population Cap'n - アルセホール!
  9. If they weren't such a bunch of tossers whose collective mindset remains in the 17th Century I might have some sympathy for them... image captionSammy Wilson is now shouting about empty supermarket shelves As back bench interventions go, it was one to remember. Sammy Wilson shouting "go to the chippy" as the SNP's Westminster leader Ian Blackford warned about empty supermarket shelves with the threat of a no-deal Brexit Two years on, and the same DUP MP is now the one shouting about empty supermarket shelves and pleading for government intervention. How times have changed.
  10. No blacks or Irish - I'm just waiting for you to have a go at dogs....
  11. Fairy Nuff but there's absolutely no ambiguity over what Robertson said.
  12. Adam Hammill scored a couple of crackers during his brief spell with us, the current trend is for defenders to press up and keepers to be the last defender (sic) which leaves the opportunity for a lob from the halfway line - definitely something worth practising.
  13. I note the reactionary, right wing sport that is the favoured pastime of our favourite soon to be ex-PotUS is currently showing it's true colors @Eric Arthur Blair
  14. Further to what I said yesterday at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio they hosted 11,000 athletes, 30,000 journalists/broadcasters (not all of these would be foreign) and 500,000 foreign tourists. Japan is currently going through an increase in Covid infections and it might be best to cancel it altogether, I note that I far from alone in thinking this
  15. I you read the article below I don't think there's any doubt Robertson is arguing for the Championship to be suspended as well as Division's 1&2 it's just whether this is the clubs position too... John Robertson slams SFA as Inverness manager accuses governing bodies of putting profit before players - Daily Record
  16. Who knows the Championship was the division which was given the most money by the Scottish government as they obviously have higher running costs than L1 & L2 (apart from the P/T teams) and little TV income compared to the top flight they recently got £5M from Holyrood (£500k each) - I've read on't BBC that Covid testing for the season will cost £40k so there should be plenty left over in theory, but as I say who knows?
