These moments are actually the only reason I keep the site going! It’s brilliant to have a proper discussion going on.

Expect we will find out today one way or the other.

My gut feel is that Jack will stay and finish the job.

Either way let's get it sorted soon so we can get the guys that really matter signed up for next season - starting with our fantastic captain.

It's hard to imagine that JR would have had talks with Barnsley if he wasn't seriously considering the role.

It is also hard to imagine that he wouldn't have had a good interview.

I'm hoping he sees the value in finishing the job he has started here. It would be good to know soon one way or another.

Absolutely. And if he doesn't get the job he  really wants and stays with us in the job he doesn't,   is the magic over?

Once signed, he won't be a St Mirren player anymore.

Might play for us, but will always be a Celtic player.

Similar to big Kirk Broadfoot and he gave everything right up to the last kick of the last game. I am sure Lewis will be a big part of our promotion winning season Shull.

What some people don't seem to grasp is , the 300k that's been suggested as a fee for Morgan will safeguard our youth academy and hopefully help continue the conveyor of talent we've seen in recent years .

And what a contrast to the situation at Falkirk FC who have just axed their Forth Valley Academy. Selling young players that don't want to renew their contract with us, for what is decent money, is good business for Saints. As you say munoz, let's hope the conveyor belt continues. That's what really matters.

The article goes on to say Morgan would be loaned back , Forest , Preston also want him. Celtic also want Dundee defender Hendry both players were in the stand for the Anderlecht game.

Take the money while we can. Good player and a great career ahead of him.

    Hope Paisley wins this tonight.

It'll  give the place an opportunity to change things for the better.

It's not about football, it's about breathing new life into the town, giving people opportunities, making people proud and making Paisley a place people want to live and visit.

I've not put a bet on, should make it a certainty. :whistle

    Will greet if we win.

needs to be minimum number of full-time roles including some roles we already have filled. Couldn't get away with duplicating role profiles. Like your thinking though 'This is Janice she's our dinner lady/ Under 18s coach.'

What really concerns me about project brave is this was only meant to be one part of it. Why are they so quiet on everything else?

    • Colt teams
    • Reserve league
    • Development loans
    • Summer youth football
    • Coach development

Personally I'm massively against the Colt idea and the way development loans currently work (never mind putting them up). Surely there should be much more transparent, regular updates on the progress from the people running our game? And much more fan engagement. SFA/ SPFL are jokes.

    Couldn't agree more Bazil85

I assume Killie are letting him stay in one of their club flats next to Rugby Park while he trains with Hurlford, to give him time to sort out his registration so he can sign for Killie.

That makes sense. I think Stevie Clarke is going to be the best thing that's happened to Killie since the Killie pie.

I think you need to take a stepback and see this for what it is. That being another ill conceived SFA journey of indulgence throwing money at something the likes of Celtic dont really agree with (they have already said they will carry on doing their own thing regardless) just so they can say.... "well we did something"

at the moment the big clubs hoover up all the avaialbke talent they can anyway, the likes of us unearth a few gems, and scavenge on the young players the old firm etc reject, we dust them down, invest in them and we get an above average return. In all honesty the elite group would have been a burden we dont need, better to do our own thing, get the academy trust fully functioning and carry on doing what we do best.

Project Brave like its predecessors will crash and burn in two years, then the handwringing will start again, then the inept SFA will throw whatever they have left at the next ill-conceived f**k up they dream up.

I wonder if Skyview would fancy their name emblazoned all over our academy for the right deal..?

I think you might be spot on. Like your Skyview idea as well. Type of thing that could deliver a tangible result and some bragging rights ie performance to elite status thanks to Skyview plus 5 jobs created. Like it LPM.

Weird that in order to get the maximum funding, you have to hire more stuff as if you can afford to hire them surely you aren't in desperate need of more funding.

Even weirder is the headless chicken approach of Dundee United. They seem to have had a last minute panic, scrambled around trying to hire the required 5 extra staff and then didn't get invited. Shambles of a club.
