We have missed Power and Gogic in the midfield so far this season - although Erhahon has performed well and O'Hara hasn't been a failure.

Even the likes of Arbroath and Airdrie can dominate us in midfield. We sadly lack a ball winner (amongst a few other things).

Hopefully Baucus will improve things in that department when eventually bedded in.

And there is also the return of the revitalised Curtis Main to look forward to.

However, the biggest concern at the moment is the paucity of our defence which was previously our strength under JG.

I will leave it to others (even Elvis) to come up with plus points.

    Early days.

Our inability to score will come back to haunt us again this season. OK Ayunga got 2, but Grieve wasn't effective at all, and Offord was invisible. We need to be beating teams at Cowdenbeath's by a comfortable margin, not 2-0. Even they had 3 shots on target from the parts of the game that I was able to see.

Had hoped Offord would look the part today.

According to Robinson in today's PDE, not happening, as his wage demands are way too rich for us.

Only way we'd be able to afford him, is to ship someone out.

"We'll be going with what we've got, unless someone leaves the building".

Shame. I think with Gocic in the team we look like a side that will stay in this division. Whereas without him we look like relegation favourites.

I hope it’s nonsense too but, should it be credible then the figure quoted is well short.

We have been talking up interest in our players starting with Ethan and Dunne then on to 3 of our bright young academy squad so I guess that money will talk.

In the short term, if we get a decent figure and could bring Gocic back who would play most/all of our games then, reluctantly, OK.

Given the hype £125k looks weirdly low. Has to be something else going on. Maybe it's a new approach designed to cash in on sell ons.  For years our top academy talent have decided to run down their contracts and Saints never really get to cash in. Celtic are good at getting multi million pound offers for their players - a 30% or more cut of a sell on fee might be the only way for us to ever secure a 7 figure sum for a player. The flip side is that we have just rolled over and the Old Firm have got back to picking off  talent on the cheap as they can stick them in their Colts teams.

It has already been stated that last year our (SMISA nominated) chairman stated that something would have to be done regarding the two stand situation. At the St Mirren FC online AGM the issue came up again with much the same comments.

As a long-term member of SMISA I attended the SMiSA AGM where the club chairman to his credit accepted criticism and described the situation as ‘toxic’. He said ‘we are listening’, ‘we hear you’ and that the board had a ‘working party’ (members unidentified) reporting back to allow the board to make a decision.

At the meeting it was as good as unanimous that one stand only should be  offered to both the clubs who bring bigoted, sectarian and vandalism behaviour to OUR stadium, resulting in home fans especially those with young supporters staying away from OUR home.

Passions ran high at that meeting and four or five speakers laid the situation out very clearly, including one who is now on the SMISA committee. It was pointed out by more than one person that a decision must be made before season ticket prices were announced Mr Neeham gave the impression that would happen. That’s what me and my companions took from his comments. Now look at where we are.

Why has ‘toxic’ been so downgraded that we now need a ‘SURVEY’ to tell us what we already know? This needs sorted and sorted now. Supporters stuck by the club over two years, paid their money with no idea when they would be able to return, and are now treated with contempt.

What kind of commercial decision is this? Where is the marketing expertise we have heard so much about from Kibble? Believe me, after all my years in industry and technology no company that has to actually earn money rather than apply for grant after grant would treat its customer base in this manner.

I am certain no SMISA member would agree with this shambles. Supporter friends of other clubs like Killie and Motherwell I’ve told are gobsmacked we are being treated like this.

Good, loyal supporters are being treated as though they are stupid. This is a classic situation where the board will announce that not enough tickets have been sold (due to a situation they themselves have created), so they have no option but to keep the two stands as they are and the fans can suck it up.

It feels like this situation is being manufactured. Are we short of money? It certainly looks like it.

Fans elsewhere in the ground hate this too and won’t buy in.
    Community club?

Do you hear the supporters board of directors? They stuck with you. Now you have to stick with them. Fix this now.

St Mirren need to lose the "perpetually skint" image. Pointless having a nice stadium, great training facilities etc if players and agents see us as a financial basket case. Better to be known as well run and a Club that looks after our employees.

He is younger than I thought. Would prefer Stevie Mallon and Gogic.

That’s the key for me Sonny, even when we were on previous poor runs I generally felt the team were fighting for each other at least…..now they seem to be going through the motions. Marcus Fraser was right in front of me when SR brought on Flynn and Jones for Power and Erhahon, you could see the confusion on his face as the new formation and system was relayed to him….the deflation in him was obvious as he shook his head.

    Very worrying.

Are the people who said give Robinson chance still saying after today. He's useless. From day the players have shown no interest in playing for him. I'll say it again. He was a poor appointment.

Based on his work at Motherwell he looked a decent if uninspiring appointment. However, he seems to have made half our team turn off and stop trying which might be due to contracts ending but the 3 at the back stuff is unfathomable.  4-4-2 with Main benched and we have a slim chance of staying up.

Perhaps the biggest understatement since the 1939 Polish president said "We better keep an eye on that Hitler fella. I reckon he could be trouble".

Ha Ha. Hitler apart. Remember the context is previous  St Mirren managers and we have had some howlers. This dude is still safely better than the relatively recent appointments of Messrs Stubbs, Craig  etc. Shaky not yet catastrophic.

A real scrap. Perhaps to the last game of the season. Very testing on the nerves for players and fans of every team involved , perhaps excluding Hibs and Livingston.

Are we up for a scrap? This team looks very similar to last season's gutless Kilmarnock - maybe worse as we dont have a goal scoring centre forward. We have flattered to deceive. We have too many players out of contract at the end of the season , others prematurely told they will be let go and as a result half the team now not giving a shit. Add to the mix a new manager who has got off to a shaky start. Worrying times ahead and another very tense  finish to the season.

If Robinson takes us down he has to go.

If we survive I think he will get the chance to build his own team, we've made our bed or rather the board have choosing him so strap yourself in this could get very scary...

Personally I've just never felt he was the right fit for us just don't feel it with him..  Had the same feeling with Oran Kearney Alan Stubbs Alex Rae Ian Murray and Davy Hay back in the day...

Of the candidates that were mentioned my only choice was Jack Ross he said no I believe my next choice would have been Stephen McGinn with a experienced coach like Danny Lennon to help him out

Oran Kearney different gravy  to that shower.
