  1. Which can't I edit on this phone app. Sorry match of the season and I haven't even had a shandy yet
  2. Here we go again. Really looking forward to this one. On NB train heading to Edinburgh on route to the 1877 club for a bite to eat and a couple of shandies. Then off to the cheap seats for matching of the season so far. It's going to be a beautiful day.
  3. Don't sweat. According to Kyle Crawford The renowned Gazette Journalist it was Oliver Burke, Stevie Mallon and Dominic Thomas who were substituted. Hopefully Morgan is sound. Really looking forward to this one too. Morgan was a joy to watch last week. Can't wait
  4. Great response Faraway. Sorry i didn't respond earlier but I was faraway in St Andrews doing a wee job. Still it got a couple of responses and the thread is now on page 2 which is pretty good for one of my threads so cheers mate thanks for keeping it going. "We're not that keen on James William Thomas Hill OBE because we question his sexual orientation in public but privately we think he's a good guy" just wouldn't have cut mustard in the old days. Don't get me wrong it's more articulate but it just doesn't have the same attraction as the original uncut version. I personally think that rightly or wrongly football survives on rivalries. Take away local derbies or grudge matches and people lose interest. The Scotland-England Rivalry was fantastic, in my opinion, and with all the historic shit that went on between the two counties it had a good basis to thrive. Go on admit it, If your old enough you sang it too. It didn't just reverberate around Hampden it was blasted out at league games too. Not because of his sexuality but because he was the focus of our football nations angst at the auld enemy. l RIP Jimmy Hill ( Good Guy) - who made sure every Scots man, who cared about rivalry, stayed with the game when their team was too shite to qualify. Founder of the ANYONE BUT ENGLAND CLUB.
  5. Jimmy Hill was a great reason and while you probably couldn't sing his theme tune now. I'll bet everyone did then.
  6. It's easy. If you've got a contact with the nine year old Bangladeshi Morton fans then next time England are playing get them to rattle up some of their oppositions replica tops and with your mates down the pub wear them with pride when ENGERLUND play like all good Scotsman should. Apparently it helps the economy or something? It's nothing to do with hating the English merely about generating interest in the beautiful game which is always more interesting when there is a bit of niggle in it. Hence ABE
  7. I sympathise. Been there but you will get there and life eventually gets easier, good luck
  8. Must have been some pub crawl if it made you think Dundee Utd wasn't a League Game. I've usually got my saints scarf on and my daughter is old enough to take me for a pint, Usually chat to anyone with a Football scarf on and occasionally deviate into a public house. Maybe next time your in Central? Hows the cafe going. I got rid of mine in June and have much more time to deviate into public houses as well as attending more matches. It did its job but it was hard work. Enjoying the easy life and the saints revival
  9. It would seem you've taken it a step further. You don't just want them to get beat. You want them done in in to. No need to revert to type it sounds like you are still a member of the ABE nation. When will we see your likes again ................. Good Man
  10. Acceptable. Thats why I disguised my face, well that and the fact I'm an Ugly B'st'd
  11. No it was just me and my daughter. We arrived in Paisley just before one. Should be on a similar train this week
  12. Might be suffering from this too. Went a bit mental today. Not only did I order Tickets for this ICT game but I booked a hotel and made travel arrangements for the Away game on the 24th November too. I then booked all the travel arrangements for the Dunfermilne Game before securing a hotel on 2nd January for the Morton Game. The West Stand looks to be filling up nicely and we could get over 4000 in the stadium on Saturday. If we beat ICT this week and Dumfermilne also pump Morton then next's match will be something special. It's a good time to be a buddie.
  13. ANYONE BUT ENGER..LUND Was it just a generational thing or is it still a fact of life that the Scots just refuse to support England and they take great pleasure in supporting Engerland’s opposition. Over the years, I have bought or borrowed Brazil, Germany, Argentina, etc tops just to go to the pub and show my support for anyone but England. I was not alone and many other like-minded Scots did the same. Last night was a real Dilemma. Living in North Berwick which is just 37 miles away from the English Border Many English and Sevco fans who frequent the pubs there were challenging a number of us “Anyone but England” Scots to wear an England Top because our fate depended on England winning. I Couldn’t do it and I found a strange Ally who was also committed to the Anyone but England Cause. Isn’t it just amazing how football can bring us all together.
  14. Right where do we start. Fecking well done The Saints and “oh Louis Morgan on the wing” could be the obvious answer but what a fantastic day out. Stoated across the country and encountered a few Jambo’s on my travels. They are not really a common sight on my cross-country exploits but the demise of Ian Cathro has obviously rekindled their interests and they seemed to be travelling in numbers. I left them behind at Motherwell and they were all brimming with confidence that John Daly’s emphasis on fitness as opposed to Cathro’s concentration on football was the answer to their woes. Whilst that didn’t work out too well for them my concern was that Dundee Utd might out muscle us like they did last season and they would bully us out of a result. A bite to eat in burger and keg and a catch up with old friends in the Bankhouse was followed by a wrong turning at the Argyll Bar and a beer with the Arabs who had made their way from Dundee and taken over the place. They were in good spirits and confident the league was theirs for the taking but they conceded they would have been happy to take a draw at the start of the game. Man City scored in the 97th minute, whilst we were in there, and I felt for the Bournemouth fans as I hoped Dundee Utd wouldn’t do us the same way they had in our last two encounters by being more street wise than us. Watching us play 5 at the back was a bit confusing at first but it quickly became apparent that Dundee Utd weren’t the same big, strong dominating team they were last season and Scot MacDonald wasn’t going to be the all-conquering hero. The saints looked the part and whilst it took till half way through the first half for us to dominate we were never really in any danger of conceding. Morgan had options left and right as he ventured forward but instead chose to slot it in the net. Dundee Utd were never at the races and the Saints were magnificent, Three-nil. Well who expected that? Outstanding result and Dundee Utd winning the league is no longer a given. On today’s showing Dundee Utd are far from certainties for the league and it’s all to play for. We have to believe we can win this league. We’re only four games in and there’s a long way to go but do you know what? Based on today, We have as good a chance as anyone has of finishing top of the pile. In Jack we trust. Come on ye saints!!
  15. On NB to Edinburgh train. Scarf - check, train tickets - check, match tickets-check, beer vouchers-check. Right I'm prepared and ready for action. I'm sure Jack and the boys will be to. Come on ye saints let's get into those tangerine coloured Arabian scumdonians. Oops dundonians
  16. I see Dundee Utd's Scott Fraser is struggling with an injury but they are doing everything possible to get him fit for Saturday. The courier reports Fraser limped off with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining of Saturday’s 1-0 win over Brechin at Tannadice and the concern was that he would need a spell on the sidelines. It is the same foot that he hurt before. He has had a screw put in so it takes a bit of time to settle but everything seems to be fine Once this Saturday’s Championship clash with St Mirren in Paisley is over and done with then Fraser will be given time off. They obviously think we are a threat if they are screwing players together to get their strongest team on the park.
  17. Got the tickets ordered. Just for your info. The tickets for the west stand are just about gone. As of Now the availability is as follows W1 114 available W2 68 available W3 10 available W4 4 available W5 6 available W6&7 None available The Main stand is filling up too. 18. I'm using chrome. Actually I fired up the site on Firefox and it works fine there. It normally works OK on Chrome so something must have been updated or un plugged or something. It was a browser issue. Thanks I wasn't using safari but you solved the problem Cheers Shull. It was just a wee rant. Of Course I'll keep trying. I'm No wasting valuable drinking time waiting in a queue for a ticket. There will be enough queuing at the Bovril stall
  19. Cheers Shull, I'm sure they would. The point is Interstadia deal with lots of clubs in the leagues. Us, Partick, Morton, Falkirk, Dunfermline, etc. They must get paid a fortune to provide these facilities and they don't deliver if the comments on this site are anything to go by. This is the first problem I've had but its certainly not the first to be mentioned on the forum. I've been trying off and on for over two hours to get past the Buy tickets- select seats page which just remains blank. If that happens on every club website that's god knows hows many hours fans can't buy tickets for games and in days where online technology is supposed to make life easy Interstadia are just not up to the task. I bet they do the catering at Cappielaw too. It took longer to get a bovril at Morton and there was no coding or internet access required there. I'd have been quicker ordering a delivery and looks like on Saturday I'll just have to queue for a ticket. Waste of good fecking drinking time. REALITY CHECK>>>> I'd better stop moaning I'm beginning to act like SHULL. Honest I'm not ranting just to boost my post count.
  20. Missed the Livi game due to work commitments but coming through to Paisley for this one. I nicked online booked two Train tickets and thought just to be on the safe side I'll order tickets for the match online too just in case a massive support arrives at the ground before I leave the pub and I can't get a ticket on the day. Get as far as Buy tickets select seats and nothing appears. I've read about you guys moaning about the ticket website in the past and normally I don't have any bother getting tickets online but today I'm joining you in decrying the inept product that interstadia provide. I suppose if it's good enough for Morton That's enough said.
  21. I've missed a few goals over the years waiting in the pie & bovril queue. Sadly on Saturday I gave the queue a miss and saw all four Morton goals. dubious penalties.
  22. I watched the footage once on you tube and never noticed Stokes infringement but did see Ross Jack stick the nut on someone so it would appear a red was the right decision for him. With the benefit of a re-run I'll look out for the Stokes offence. Poor referee must have seen it from the same angle as me. Poor Rangers. Neil Lennon what was he thinking about with the get it up you gesture. All those fans must have been offended. I think they were all shouting at once because Lennon had to cup his ears to hear them. Poor Rangers Fans.
  23. Speak for yourself. I'm up for a wee trip to wales or Ireland but hopefully at the weekend stages of the competition. In saying that the only two matches I attended for this competition last Season were the New Saints and the final. Had two great days out albeit the result on final day was a disappointment. Not keen on the colts Idea. A diddy cup should only include diddy teams so keep the Irish, welsh and even Kazakhstan or Albania but get shot of the old firm colts that just devalues the competition. Won't make the EK game but wouldn't have minded giving Billy Stark a wee cheer. Great Bud!
