  1. Oh well! It was only a 100-mile journey across the country and I got to experience the delights of the Norseman Bar where I saw the locals first hand in their natural environment. Not a pretty sight in those red tartan tops devoid of any kit suppliers name and their singing was minging. £2.50 for a pint of Fosters, £2.90 for a pint of tenants and 75p for one of those red tops. Wasn’t a great game. The sun came out though and with no roof on the wee Dublin End it was the ideal place to top up the sun tan. Thought the sending off was a bit harsh and the antics of the wee boys running about the cowshed would have been amusing if it wasn’t for the fact we were on the receiving end of a hiding. The rather rotund example of Scottish dietary problems that lead to obesity doing the bouncy bouncy looked ridiculous but it was their day. Our team never turned up and the whole Morton end chanting “Easy” after the fourth goal was a fair reflection of the day’s events. A 100-mile return Journey to be met by the only Morton Fan in North Berwick who couldn’t wait to start gloating. As IBOS hinted Thank feck for Rangers fans. There is always someone worse off than you. Watching them stoat about Glasgow and Edinburgh was some conciliation. Got talking to two guys in Black and white scarves on the Edinburgh train who weren’t very happy getting humped either. Turned out they were Queens Park fans and not Buds. Then I get back and there is Shull posting shite to wind us all up. Away and hing oot wie yir Greenock pals and gie us peace.
  2. Heading for train station. Got all the vaccinations necessary to visit Greenock. COYS
  3. £9 Each?????? Are you sure you just haven't bought two houses in Blairmore Road at the East end of Greenock/
  4. Got my Morton Tickets and just picked up two tickets to see Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel Live at the Fringe by the Sea Festival in North Berwick tonight. It's gonna be a great weekend. Looking forward to it so St Mirren, Tomorrow I'm coming up to see you, Make me smile. Shaping up to be a great weekend. Can't wait.
  5. Is it the Indian or the African Elephant that has BIG EARS
  6. Try signing in again. I had the same problem then realised the upgrade had logged me out
  7. Ordered tickets online Tuesday they arrived in North Berwick on Wednesday so ticket office doing their job at our end. Just as an aside the Royal Mail Bookmark denoted they support mental health awareness which could mean one of two things A. You have to be mad to support St Mirren or B. Anyone visiting Greenock will need counselling
  8. YES!!!!! Everyone sign up to drink 24hrs a day while posting and Shull will disappear
  9. Sorry Sorry Sorry. I never noticed the bold. That is a superb example of an oxymoron and I was slow enough to be an example of a Moron. Sorry
  10. Definitely a plan for after the game. Cheers Looks like I have a few options for pre match too. Cheers buds
  11. I'm tempted to give it a look then. Its certainly handy for the ground. Not looking for bother just a pint but the google review isn't to appealing "Great boozer when Morton are at home and it is packed, all football away fans are made to feel welcome except StMirren who are scum." The Yelp one isn't much better Not the best pub in the world, it doesn't sell any real ale and you have to climb a dark narrow staircase to get to the bar. The only thing that its got going for it is that is handy for a pint before going to watch the Mighty Greenock Morton, you can leave the back at 2.59 and still get into the ground in time for kick-off.
  12. Where? Great best is a redundant adjective. superbly shite example of an oxymoron. Anyway Tickets ordered. Postman move your arse. They better get here before Saturday morning or there will be nothing seriously funny about the situation. oops . Oxymoron alert!!
  13. Cheers IOBS That sounds like a plan. I'd normally stop of in Paisley but my normal matchday Buds can't make this game so my Daughter and I will head straight into Greenock and hit the James Watt instead. I agree. Pain in the butt. Just found out its all ticket. Need to order them today Postman better reach North Berwick by Saturday First post. Why do they make it so hard just to turn up at a match
  14. Normally I'd go for a wee aperitif and sample the hospitality of whatever town we are visiting before an away game but over all my years of visiting Crappylaw I've never went for a pint in Greenock. Do the saints fans have a pre-match pub for this venue or is it just a case of a pre-match drink in Paisley before the train. I met a couple of Ton fans in the Horseshoe after the Thistle game who invited me to the Norseman but I suspect that wouldn't be an ideal pub to visit with a saints scarf around your neck.
  15. Good work djchapsticks. Job Done. Hope to hear this getting belted out at the Morton Game
  16. But then again you could be a wummin so fair do's
  17. its a bit much on the man love thing but it is the 21st century.
  18. That could work. Lyrics would need a bit of thought and its a catchy wee tune but something simple like He'll always find the net GAVIN REILLY would probably work
  19. Brilliant Start to the season. The team are getting it together on the park and JR is praising the support on the terracing but I reckon us supporters could up our game a bit and get some new chants going. Let’s make some of the new players feel at home. It was great to see wee Gavin Reilly getting a mention and some recognition from the terracing on Saturday. Stepping into the old Stevie Mallon chant is a bit of an accolade but could our Lyric masters maybe think up some new songs. In saying that I fair miss the Craig Storrie playing behind Rory tune. That was a catchy wee song. If we can’t come up with new ones, could we somehow resurrect that? Anyone any ideas.
  20. Falkirk fans were brilliant on Glasgow Edinburgh Train. Had a good laugh. Jambos weren't very happy either but after a rousing chorus of the hibees are gay we all went home happy but I'm sure I had the biggest smile. COYS. First win on first game not the season for ages. In Jack we trust. We're still in it. Almost home I'll sleep well tonight
  21. Season definitely started now. on NB to Edinburgh train. Paisley here we come.
  22. Last big session was in Edinburgh after the Hibs Game. Can't Remember where I left him. I'm sure he said something about Shull's taxi.
  23. Absolutely. Of course my first thought was what negative spin will Shull put on this. Don't Drink, shout, enjoy the drums, Stay in SMISA, enjoy hospitality or openly support JR & JF because if you do that makes Shull a better class of fan than you. Is Victor Meldrew your hero? Then I thought happy thoughts. Train to Paisley, Bull inn, More pints than my recommended daily limit . wee walk to the ground, sing song song, cheer on the Saints, watch Falkirk getting pumped. Few more pints, something to eat and after spending a few quid bolstering the Paisley Ecomony head back to NB happy in the knowledge JR is at the helm.
  24. All you "Jack Ross must go" guys bad News. Personally I'm Delighted Jack Ross: St Mirren manager & assistant James Fowler sign new contracts 37 minutes ago From the sectionFootball Sharethis page Jack Ross guided St Mirren to Scottish Championship safety after taking over last season St Mirren manager Jack Ross and his assistant James Fowler have signed new three-year deals with the Paisley club. The duo joined the struggling Buddies in October 2016, ultimately securing their Scottish Championship status. Ross' team also reached the Challenge Cup final, losing to Dundee United, and the Scottish Cup last eight, where they lost to eventual winners Celtic. "We are delighted to get these deals completed," St Mirren chief executive Tony Fitzpatrick said. "Jack and James are two highly thought of young coaches and have done a tremendous job since coming in last season. The club has lacked a bit of stability over the last few years so it's great to get these contracts agreed. We are really excited to see what happens in the season ahead."
