He signed a week past on Wednesday. I met him the following night in the Crab Shack in the West End and he told me he’d signed the previous night. Seemed like a nice lad.

Bollocks! Commentator on tonight’s Hibs game says Aberdeen are in the Europa League play off. If that’s the case, why hasn’t our game against them already been moved to the Sunday if they are guaranteed to be playing on the preceding Thursday night?

Think I might have found the answer to my own question. It looks like this year the 3rd place team simply goes straight into the conference group stage. Last season Hearts got a shot at a Europa League play off before being guaranteed to drop into the conference group stage. So looks like I’m ok for the Aberdeen game and just need to hope Hearts get gubbed in their first round.

Bollocks, I’m up that weekend and intended going to the game. Flying back on the Sunday 😩. What about the Aberdeen game on 26th August? Are they likely to have a Europa League game the Thursday before? Up that weekend too and similarly flying back on the Sunday.

As someone who doesn’t normally condone inane abuse being dished out to players, if this childish c**t gets targeted then he deserves anything he gets.

Anyone mind a few years back when Craig Levein made a right erse of himself by celebrating wildly when Scotland scored an injury time winner at home to Liechtenstein? Well that was just about me tonight. 🤣 Went along expecting to politely applaud 4 or 5 goals. Not to be. We were garbage. Still, f**k it. Job done. Least said about the performance the better.

I don’t see why saying something like that would lead to their cases being reopened. They still wouldn’t be admitting anything. Just acknowledging the vulnerability of the situation (for all parties) and stating clearly that valuable lessons have been learned. Maybe also adding something about letting their clubs and their fans down through at the very very best being extremely unprofessional and acting in a manner not befitting of a role model.

I’m not familiar with the case in detail, but after being found guilty in the civil case, would it not maybe have been sensible to at least show a bit of humility. Maybe say something along the lines of despite believing they are innocent, they’ve learned a huge lesson about consent and how can it really be established when all parties are in such a state of intoxication. This has been a horrible episode for all concerned and in future I/we will make sure we never find ourselves in such a position again?
