That said, in order to sort anything out, presumably St. Mirren would need to get drawn away to Arbroath in the cup.

I don't believe in one man teams but sometimes a very special player comes along. Now tgatvthecwindow has closed and Lewis Morgan is still a St. Mirren player, my revised prediction is that on 31st December we will be top of the league. If on 1st February Lewis is still our player, then my further revised prediction is that we will win the league. Of course, the latter may still happen if Lewis leaves in January. It just won't be as certain.

I really do love the way that on this board the word patronising has come to mean pointing out that someone has said something factually incorrect. I'm sure it used to mean something else. Unless you were referring to me saying I was a fan of your work on here. In which case that was a genuinely comment. I agree with most of your contributions. Ach Oaky. I "liked"your post when it just said true. Then you went and edited it to add that second sentence. Now I want to unlike it. For absolute clarity as to what my point was.... You made a post suggesting that the club should invest its money and let the compound interest do its magic. Someone responded by saying in today's interest environments there wouldn't be much to compound. you countered this by saying that your shares portfolio went up by 25%. I merely pointed out that an increase in your share portfolio has got nothing to do with compound interest. I'm a big fan of your work on this board, but sometimes your over defensiveness gets you into a sticky situation and you rarely have the ability to just stick yours hands up and say fair enough.

That's not compound interest though is it? That's capital growth.

Their lack of self awareness leaves me flabbergasted on a regular basis. I am full of admiration for their ability to valiantly keep up the good fight time after time when they consistently find themselves in a minority of one (or should I say two). This sometimes leads me to believe that they are both genuine trolls of a exceptionally high order, with an amazing ability to deliberately generate bland, unimaginative and unfunny comebacks to genuine challenges from the less hard of thinking board users, but I suspect this is actually not the case and that they are just a bit silly and boring. However, I think the most incredible thing of all is that they fail to recognise that either or both of them are at the root of 99% of the childish spats on this board. Surely sooner or later, if enough people tell you that you’re talking pish, you have to start thinking maybe I’m talking pish. Also their little post liking arrangement is so cute. Unlike you though Antrin, I don’t use the ignore function (I even occasionally like FS’s posts when he’s not talking keech – not so much Shull), so I’ll await their immediate unimaginative responses with bated breath. I’m going to go with….. Shull – “What a mess!” (possibly sprinkled with the more direct personal abuse which has crept into some of his more recent posts). FS – Something slightly more original that he thinks is funny and clever but isnae and ultimately doesn’t address the valid criticisms that are being presented to them. His stock answer to me is that I’m “having a breakdown”. This despite my responses never being particularly emotive, or his high horse status when another poster dared to even mention mental health issues. A great example of his lack of consistency.

Aye Totesport were I think the only ones offering handicap odds. Willie Hills and Bet365 were only showing match odds. Even 4/6 on the match odds is free money though if you're prepared to load on.

A shite party needed a shite leader for a period of time. The Dug was the perfect patsy. No point in someone credible tarnishing their reputation and career at a time when the party was at it's absolute lowest ebb. Recent election results suggest the party is regaining some of its popularity so time for a proper leader I guess.
