  1. Yes, Jackson was a very important player for us. Not fully appreciated by the ignorant section of our support. Nazon was pretty useless though. We certainly need Danny Mullen on top form.
  2. Yep, if we can't replace Popescu and McAllister then there is no way the team can expect to compete in the Premiership.
  3. Normally I would wish any player leaving us well, but this guy can just get himself to f**k.
  4. Other than McGinn all of those numbers are way out!
  5. I don’t think we wasted money in January, but in pretty much every other window for the last 5 years we have wasted a lot! Including a lot of Jack Ross signings towards the end of his time in charge.
  6. I very much doubt Popescu’s transport to Ralston was the stumbling block on the deal, but if that’s the case then Goody can give him a backy on his bike and we are sorted.
  7. And another I am sure Mihai is more than happy to move to Scotland or England to play football. That aside, I wasn't saying there is anything wrong with his agent negotiating. I'm only saying my understanding until now has been that a loan player can't negotiate a separate contract with a 2nd club on top his contract with his parent club.
  8. Oh boy, another one comparing the career of a professional footballer with their job in HR getting moved to Milton Keynes
  9. Very true. I am wondering about the legality of it though, surely his contracted wage is the one paid by Dinamo? It is then up to Dinamo & St Mirren to work out how to split that. Maybe it wasn't a loan deal after all.
  10. Coming out and saying every performance is woeful is not going to build much confidence in the team. I am sure Jim can see how much we need to improve, and I'm sure he is also a good man manager. The team needs confidence, anyone can see that.
  11. I don't think I am in any club, but Gordon is a liar which has been seen quite a few times. Wouldn't class him as big, or particularly bad compared to most people. I still have never heard of an agent or player asking for an increased wage as part of a loan deal. I suppose it must be possible though.
  12. I was talking about an older post, a couple of months ago. Anyway, maybe someone could just ask him. He seems to have his phone with him oot there on the rugby pitch.
  13. I would hope Goodwin has a few targets lined up from the Championship. Would be great if we hadn't burnt all the John McGinn money and could afford to bring in 4 or 5 ready to make the step up.
  14. Does this desire for the worst possible outcome in every scenario carry over to your personal life as well? Must be very tiring.
  15. The 2nd half performance was not too bad last night. Djorkaeff looks like he will add something, lots of energy was moving across the park from wing to wing and trying to drive things forwards. It wasn't at least the complete disaster of Queens Park away at this stage last season where we could have played all night without a shot on goal. In the end we had a good few chances, a disallowed goal, and ultimately did get the goal and the win. All that said, there is a lot to be concerned about. Even against a fourth tier team we looked likely to concede on the counter attack any time they came at us. The Popescu transfer is really what concerns me most. I don't believe that Popescu himself would suddenly demand much more in wages compared to last season. Indeed, as it is a loan deal I don't understand how he could? Gordon / The club firing out that statement blaming demands from his agent doesn't sit very well with me. It could well be given our burn rate of revenue in the last couple years we are skint now, and unable to bring in players of the standard of Popescu, Dreyer etc again. If that;s the case we are f**ked, because the current squad is just not good enough and Jim Goodwin is not going to be able to do anything about it. All eyes on Tony Fitzpatrick - we must urgently get some deals done!!
  16. When the players themselves start posting on social media it is normally a good sign that is something is going on. From there, the B&W Army detectives shall take over....
  17. Hopefully he is, he wouldn't need to be with him 24/7. I think you are probably right though. He was making some comments on twitter a while ago about "not believing what others say" regarding his injury, and saying he will be back. Possibly Saints have agreed to see him through his rehab with an agreement he looks for another club in this window. It wouldn't make a great deal of sense to me, but it does indeed seem something isn't right.
  18. The wee paedo gives away a penalty! COYS
  19. The difference going forward is the lack of Kyle McAllister. It shows how little the forum halfwits that slagged him off know about football. They are the same halfwits that will try and blame this performance on Stephen McGinn by the way.
  20. We were pretty shite in the playoff as well!
  21. If you mean properly as in the numpty commentators have been silenced, then yes its perfect.
  22. Did you see his effort from a free header in the box? Should have been 3-3!
  23. Well hopefully Dibbles is correct and Tansey is just getting himself back up to full fitness before rejoining the main squad. He had said on twitter he was certain he would be back to fitness for this season. In those final couple games for us he did look like just what we needed.
  24. In hindsight Kilmarnock clearly weren't taking the group stage very seriously The new guys immediately looked clueless against Queens Park and Spartans and then Kpekewa stumbling about as Sunderland players strolled past him in that 6-0 friendly was where it became clear that Stubbs and Jackson had done us!
