  1. Doesn't matter, the principle's the same.
  2. Faked a blood injury, not a broken leg/ankle/metatarsal/fingernail like you see in every game of football from 7 year olds up.
  3. What's the difference between that and a direct free-kick being awarded outside the penalty box? Lots of inverse snobbery going on in this thread so let's go for some of the other stuff. You're only saying these things because none of you are smart enough to understand the game and all its subtle nuances. Golf - can I refer you to Mark Twain's thoughts on golf, spot on. Rugby League - much better than Union, that's why it's so much more popular in Scotland and throughout the world.
  4. If it's the rugby player you mean, shull, he died 12 years ago - before this forum was set up. Cancer got him, I think.
  5. Shouldn't be a problem (I use Virgin's av software which updates itself so it should sort it automatically.....I think?) but I'll check tonight when I get home tonight.
  6. I tried using the repair button and noticed that it was connecting briefly and then dropping off again. Previously, I've had to go into Advanced Settings and check the box to tell it to use Windows to configure the network. When I looked, the box was checked so I unchecked it and here we are, up and running again, As I said at the start, I'm way out of my depth...... Many thanks to all who offered some help, especially you, Joe, I'll buy you a beer someday if we ever meet up.
  7. No, it's telling me it was interrupted.
  8. ISP is Virgin. Router's fine, all green (as I said, Joe, my phone's using the network) I'm still on XP but the settings look okay in Windows. Just checked the Netgear settings, no IP address showing?
  9. I'm using my phone on the network to make these posts so I'm guessing it's the pc?
  10. I've done the IT Induction so it was the first thing I tried - made no difference so I'm out of my depth, now.
  11. My pc is telling me I have "Limited or no connectivity" because "...the network did not assign a network address to the computer." Signal is very good, network is detected, Physical address, IP address and Subnet Mask are all present in the details tab, any ideas on what's going on and how I can fix it?
  12. Right enough, tickets are for the two stands and standing - don't fancy it much, IIRC there's no real banking at the ends of the main arena so if you were stuck at the back you wouldn't see a thing unless you were 6' 8" or so. And if you are 6' 8" shouldn't you be playing rather than watching?
  13. If you read more of that Wiki article it says the two stands hold 5000 between them. I know they used temporary structures at either end during the IRB Sevens so they must be putting them up again and counting them.
  14. I though the capacity was only about half of that shull, where did you get that figure from?
  15. You wouldn't want Virgin anyway if you don't like Indian call centres, TT.
  16. He's talking about EE, faraway, the new name for Orange/T-Mobile - they've also just launched mobile 4G in some areas (Greater Glasgow among them) but I don't think it'll reach Smokieland for a while yet.
  17. This was close to being The Jam's last single.
  18. Fair enough, i did wonder (which is why I carefully worded my original post as a question if you read it again ) but think there was only one google suggestion of "Kelburne" and loads of "Kelburn" so al least I'm not alone in being wrong. For a change!
  19. You sure about that, Eddy? I wasn't and googled both spellings. Google asked "Did you mean Kelburn Cinema Paisley?" when I used the "e"
  20. Think I'm a few years younger than you, bluto, the only ones aI remember from my childhood are this one (mainly for the fountain, don't remember any films i saw there) and the 3 "Div 1" cinemas you mention (wasn't it "Kelburn" rather than "Kelbourne" tho' - where's a pedant when you really need one )
  21. Now now, Rick, pay attention, it's "fountain" of all knowledge. StuD quoted that modern day master of the English language Locke don't you know, and he's never wrong, is he?
