  1. Again you are taking the position that it is an Internet aliases job to convince you of something. This isn't a case of should Mooy and McLean be starting. This is a complex business undertaking. I do not have a role to convince you of anything and I wouldn't waste my time trying to as you already have an entrenched position on the subject. You still haven't answered the question - what will happen to the 48% shareholders if the CIC plan doesn't go ahead. What say will they have in the running of the club? What protection will they have against a buyer coming in and selling off the assets? The new buyer can come in and buy the club by creating £2M of debt, there would also be a tax bill for that transaction. That debt would be held against the clubs assets. That would put us at far greater risk than the CIC model. Let's here your views on the 52% shareholder group selling SOLE CONTROL of the club to any man and his dug?
  2. Still avoiding the question - you ranted, "Still no answer to the question what happens to the 48% shareholders.".....which has pertty much been your very childish tactic since you start attacking the CIC plan. I asked in return "You seem to be very keen for this to fail for some reason. If it fails what will happen to the other shareholders 48%?" Are you trying to say it will destroy our club or are you trying to say it could possibly destroy our club? For someone who is trading on rumour and supposition your opinion seems to be radicalised in the extreme against the CIC plans. I doubt you are even a St Mirren supporter.
  3. Hmm.....you reckon it will be £10-a-month and calculate that as £150-a-year. Are you an accountant for Enron? So here's a scenario for you to throw out your passionate opinion on: The CIC doesn't happen. SG & Co sell up their shares to some unknown entity. Share with us why that scenario will be better for us than your very limited knowledge of the CIC model.
  4. You can answer the question I asked you earlier or are you just a dafty one way street tyre kicker.
  5. if, if, if....yer maw... There have been bids in the region of £2M that have been rejected. The rejection wasn't about the cash but about the business plan that accompanied them. The directors as they have always stated are looking for a business plan that will progress the club and protect it for the future. The more I consider the possibilities for St Mirren and the wider community that the CIC plan offers the bigger the chubby I get for it. The more I learn about Mr Atkinson, the more I think he might just be on the verge of a Saint-hood. The manner in which he has approached his attempts to deliver something quite remarkable is quite humbling. Instead of petulantly demanding information from Richard we should all be asking the man what we can do to help.
  6. The value of something is what people are prepared to buy it for. The BoD have already had offers in the region of £2M. They could have taken that money and damned us all. Instead they are exploring what they perceive to be the best option for the club and the supporters. If that doesn't come off then we will be back to looking at someone spending £2M to take ownership of the club. There will be no protection for the club whatsoever under such a deal and we will be at the mercy of the new owner. AFAIK there is no St Mirren supporter with both £2M and additional funds over and above that to invest in the club. We are right to be nervous about the unknown, but we should also have a little faith in the current board who are actually trying to do a great thing for us. Once it all unfolds (hopefully) a lot of the doubter who have thrown abuse at the current BoD will be feeling very silly.
  7. I see you have decided not to answer my question animal. Very much a one way street with you.
  8. Really, have you been asked for money? I must have missed that press release by the club. Always said I thought this would take longer. You seem to be very keen for this to fail for some reason. If it fails what will happen to the other shareholders 48%?
  9. That's a bizarre threat. There is no opportunity to pay any money until the full plan is presented. Is there a basis for your outrage or is it just your standard state of mind when in a position of voluntary ignorance.
  10. Then you are a very silly boy. Best to make a judgement when they actually present the full plan to the supporters. No supporter, not even the virtual quisling that is Div has seen the full plans. I have heard enough for me to be supportive and certainly nothing that would make me dismissive. There would need to be some outrageous revelation in the CIC plans for me not to join.
  11. Under a CIC there is nothing to stop GLS being put forward as an elected member of the management team, or being elected Chairperson for that matter. The difference is that the club will not be dependent on his finances for its future. There are example after example of disastrous consequences of being dependant on a single source of finance whether they are a supporter of your club or not. The CIC removes that dependency and competely eliminates ther possibility of asset stripping. If you have a look at the finances of Maxi Group you will quickly see that RA is a pretty handy chap to have on board. Would it be better if RA paid cash for the club and put himself in charge? Perhaps it would be as you understand that scenario better; we might have ownership that we understood, but we would not have the protection of our club and any say in the club would be at the whim of RA.
  12. If that's what you think is important LS track back to your heart's desire. I know lots of things including the deviant nature of SPS's relationship with his dug, but I wouldn't go posting it on the Internet. If you do track back you will see that I was and still am skeptical about the timescales. This could easily drag on for months. I do think that the public sector financial year end at the end of this month will give the CIC chaps and the BoD a better idea of where they are in the process. You might get a press conference announced by me for the 1st April though.
  13. You are being kept in the dark, you are fed sheeite.....and yet you claim to have enough knowledge regarding the proposals to conclude that it will only work if we are in the lower divisions. I have heard a few dates / timescales being bandied around - I would take all of them with a pinch of salt as there has never been a clear deadline for the process. The chances of a 4pm press conference any time soon would be slim in my humble opinion. I think it might even be close season before any concrete information becomes available. The CIC is great news for all supporters - if it goes ahead, and I reckon it will. If it deosn't go ahead then we might well see the club sold with no input from the supporters whatsoever. Animal could shout and scream and pish his pants and it wouldn't matter - the club could be sold and the new owners could do whatever they liked with it. Ironically, the CIC strategy would actually give him the opportunity to have a genuine say in the running of the club, and more importantly it would deliver the safeguards we all want for the future of the club. Keep of the mushies Animal.
  14. £0 for 'well shares v £2M for 52% of St Mirren shares. Surely we can muster a bit of outrage at the BoD now Danny has produced the goods.
  15. Heard on the radio on the way home that John Boyle is stepping down from Muthawell at the end of the season. He is walking away asking for no money whatsoever for his shares. Was going to pop this is other football, but throught it might have some relevance to the two million our mob are looking for their shares.

  17. Is she the ugly fat burd, if so then she is certainly the shining light amonst the mockneys. And I definitely wid. And does a great song very much on topic:
  18. Was watching the old poll tax riots footage and this track by the genius of Julian Cope was used, sadly there was documentary chatter through the poll tax one though:
  19. Never heard of you, but welcome back whoever you are. Mr Atkinson is an asset stripper with demonic tendencies who out to wrench the soul from the writhing body of our club whilst we all look on in horror - according to animal. If, on the other hand you are a sane supporter, then he is the chap trying to deliver a community orientated football club, where the fans will be more actively involved than they could ever have imagined, whilst placing the club right at the heart of the wider community of Renfrewshire.
  20. Right - this is a serious thread...and don't call me Shirley.
  21. How can you personally abuse an anonymous Internet alias? All he has to do is switch to another Internet alias like say "boneshaker" for example, and all the effort made abusing "animal" will be rendered useless. The entire point of a forum is to present topics for discussion, some more sensible than others and debate them. Some of the most ferocious insults on here are actually between people that know each other very well. For example Bluto is a very nice chap in real life and takes it well. The key to B&WArmy is to identify the wind up aliases and the more serious aliases. Div, for example rarely makes a wind up post, although I think he was at it when defending Gus. I have already had a couple of PM discussions with posters where I have imparted my knowledge of CICs where they have at least got some better understanding of what a CIC is and how it might sit with the club. The reason I was happy to impart my CIC experience was that the posters approached me genuinely interested in my knowledge and just wanted a little more info to help calm their nerves about the unknown. "animal" is clearly clueless about CICs, and is clearly overly wound up by the situation. If she / he was to PM asking for more information I would probably send them a link to information they have already skimmed through and decided was pish for their agenda. I probably wouldn;t waste my time on explaining my experience in CICs as it would be instantly trashed as the "alias" not necessarily the poster behind it is unable to listen to or accept information that goes against their own already entrenched view point. Please remember the character traits of aliases does not necessarily reflect the genuine character of the poster that created it. Is "animal" even a St Mirren fan? COuld he be a disgruntled ex-employee of the club? There is no way of knowing. However, my money is on a genuine Saints fan with poor communication skills (bluto will now edit my entire post) and an unhelathy appetite for negative conspiracy theories and sensationalisation. Not a bad thing for an unofficial football forum; however he will get a response.
  22. In advance of my upcoming role as Chairman of the fans Board I would like to offer you a heartfelt apology on behalf of the outgoing BoD.
