  2. Donovan singing Lalena in 1980-ish with Rick Wakeman on backing Joanna.... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Zn33v7_9b4g&...feature=related Lovely song.
  3. Good stuff, lads.... but try and NOT look like MISERABLE StMirren supporters next time! You're selling a celebration! It will be a funky, music-laden, fast-movin upbeat dvd of happy, joyous and (we hope) amusing, triumphant memories!! You're no floggin f**kin bricks!!!!

  6. When I was younger (A LOT), a squad of us used to meet back room in the Tudor every Monday evening - that was 'nice' - and I suppose we might have been 'the fanny', cos there was always... er.. chicks.... A few of my Buddies had last 'Paisley' nights in the Creag Dubh afore moving elsewhere, cos it was always a favourite pub. Still is. The Station has always been mah favoured local haunt - but has changed - mibbe too much - but I dunno since last I was up. THE constant - so I always happily stagger in - and out - of there is the Bull Inn. All those pubs are in easy walk from 'home'. They're in the heart of MY town. Apart from family and friends, they are the heart of my town. Even though I'm a very happy Lahndahner...
  7. Since you brought this up, I've only ever been offered a laser eye treatment banner. No link, I hope? (though I have clicked thru via p+b. It's naughty.)
  8. Here's why I seldom go near that Feeshul site... Here's Pozbaird's mild wee joke and then his wrist being slapped. Humour by-pass, I fear.
  9. Don't get too cocky - it's a funny ole game....

  11. Since Crispy started the thread about sexy scotswomen, I've had a morning of Sharleen... However, here's a strange vid of her with... Alan Rickman, tangoing in a Shell Service Station... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=BlVXvZUTjIs&...feature=related You can Say what you want... ffff...ffff ETA: Here's a nice (apparently 'rare' - I'd not seen it) vid of that Say what you want song, too. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_7MpwtCTM50&...feature=related
  12. Er... the Darlington Railway centre and museum sounds rather... er... 'funky'? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darlington
  13. Aye - those were glorious lavvies - as well as very practically situated after the pubs shut or you got off a bus from Clyde Street, late at night...

Fiddler's Green (restaurant) New Fergus Hotel (industrial units) Cannes (flats) Talk of the Town (demolished...now flats) Threads/Senor Chester's (nursery) The whole Forbes Place/Shuttle Street phenomenon amazed me on visits back up the road.
