How do you work out that we, the support, put in over £3million per year??

I'm feeling your pain......and reading your jealousy!! I got fairly close to being a professional footballer but didn't quite make it, the reason was I just wasn't good enough ..........I have nothing but respect for the guys that do make it, try not to drown in your own bitterness.

Just a wee "live" update for Rick McD, Tobermory lifeboat been back out since 01:00 and on watch, divers down just now making a decision on whether she is moveable or not. A bit of a concern about how quickly she'll take on water and from there the only way is down!! Fingers crossed for a positive outcome!!

Absolutely, there is a fairly large hole on the structure but fortunately, so far, it has been sitting above the water even at high tide, that can change fairly quickly out there though!! There was another container ship ran aground in the Sound of Mull about a year or so ago, night watchman fell asleep and the ship just ran straight onto the rocks. Part of the problem is that many of these ships run on fairly small crew numbers, safety at night shouldn't be left to the responsibility of one man. Sleep or illness could lead to loss of life very easily.

My brother, who lives in Tobermory, volunteers for the RNLI and got called out at 2.30am yesterday morning...........he then spent 18 hours sitting off Kilchoan in fairly poor conditions in case the ship got into further difficulties, fortunately she doesn't seem to have. the ship is in a bad enough situation as it is but she came mighty close to a cluster of rocks that sit just below the surface, had she hit that the situation would have been a whole lot worse.

Agree with a lot of the above but I think Arquin got hooked for poor attitude as much as anything else. Twice he got stroppy when taking (or not) instruction from the coaching staff.

If that was how it worked maybe he just wouldn't have signed the contract at all. Nobody had met the "development fee", or even offered to, in the summer and you think we could set a higher clause in a russian roulette scenario.

Not quite sure that's how employment law works and how would you determine "best of their ability"??

If reports are true we've knocked back more than that for him previously. Why, when he's performing better than he eve has on a consistent basis, would we accept it now??

Sorry Bluto, I was of course talking about the Big Tax Case..........still not seeing punishment right enough only the outstanding tax amount deemed due from the wee tax case.

What punishments did Rangers receive for Tax Evasion ??

Not to be too pedantic but there is a world of difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. Strictly speaking only tax evasion is illegal whereas tax avoidance is generally taking advantage of "loopholes" to pay less tax. With reference to Greyskull in regards to EBT's, at the moment it is only being seen as avoidance and not evasion, no matter how unpallatable, thus why they won their case, that could change at appeal right enough. Not paying the PAYE/NIC due to lack of funds is what took Rangers out. I am not suggesting, at any point, that avoidance is OK and a route we should pursue!!

Who knows where they came from or whether they are accurate , certainly not you or I. There are always people with thoughts and opinions and through"social media" all of a sudden become facts and/or leaks.......trying reading the St Mirren Supporters Facebook for evidence!!
